I think that these should be mentioned right about now.

Take a quick look at that link. It's a story about an NHL player, PRO HOCKEY PLAYER, who was arrested for assault for hitting a player on the ice with his stick. The players all said it was "part of the game". A policeman in the stands thought diffrently. A judge agreed. The player, Marty McSorley, was found guilty of ASSAULT.
And that's in Hockey. Pro hockey.
While I'm at it : http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/DailyNews/hockey991208.html A story from a high-school hockey incident which was VERY similar. Except this one happened to the kid after the final buzzer. Final result is a paralised teenager laying on the ice being taunted by opponents.
People say that fighting and violence is a part of hockey.
Do you want them to say the same about paintball?

Don't ya just love it when Tyger does this sorta cr@p ?
I am gonna do a bit of stats here, simple stuff but revealing I think...
How many games of ice hockey have there been played in the US over the years?
Hundreds?
Nope,
Thousands ?
Nope
It's more like tens of thousands, that's it tens of frikkin thousands.
Now does Tyger mention those tens of thousands where the police didn't turn up ?
No, he chooses to ignore these in favour of selecting a one off to re-inforce his ridiculous argument and then goes on to compound his lunacy by extending this scare-mongering to paintball.
There have been hundreds of thousands of 'physical contacts' in NHL that could be definitively described (in terms of the rule book) as illegal and Tyger chooses to highlight this as indicative of the evils of the game.
Nah, if any of you need to determine the credibility of this guy, just take a look at page 18 of this month's PGI and I rest my case
Also, for those of you people who have got the magazine, go to page 16 and 17 and look at the pic, its of Rich Telford and Andy Kopcok of the Ironmen, nothing spectacular going on there for sure. It is by no means the most dynamic of tourney player pics in the magazine that I could have selected.
It's just an average pic of some proballers.
Now have a quick look at Tyger's pic on the next page and imagine you were new to the sport, which one would you try to emulate ?
Rec or tourney ?
Case closed................................. for ever !
