You completely avoided the most important question. What are you taking lessons from Baca now? :D

Define 'gravity feed only' for me.

Give me a definition that could even have a half decent impact on rof and I'll show you how potentially every gun potentially breaks it before you start. You wouldn't be able to enforce your own rule, so it would be a bad rule from the start. And you wouldn't be able to have systems like the revolution either... oh and it doesn't matter because I can feed faster than 13bps with a 'gravity feed loader' unlike the halo/warp anyway so it would be a moot point pretty quickly... ;)

Go take a look at these links...

So in summary, nice idea, but completely un enforceable and wouldn't do what you want it to anyway.... ;) so maybe not such a good idea? :D

But you're right that it doesn't fix the problem; not the whole problem. And if you think that the biggest problems are more-than-one-shot per each trigger cycle and illegal velocities then I agree with you.

But actual ROF might be a problem too when you consider the quantity of multiple impacts a goggle lens is supposed to be able to tolerate before losing "structural integrity". Also multiple impact on the cranium may not be the healthiest routine.

Another question is: is a constant 13 BPS still too high?
It doesn't fix any of the real problems.

As for 13bps? most people can't pull/sustain that in reality anyway. Those that think they can are most of the time a) full of it. b) lying through their teeth c) believing LCD screens that are a combination of a) and b) or don't tell you the real picture of what they are measuring.

And who says goggles can't take multiple hits? I've never seen anyone who has tested a goggle system say that... just people that haven't. :D

Paintballs nowadays are far more brittle and although rof has gone up and the number of impacts I'd wager that average energy transmitted into the target has gone down.

I do believe head protection is a very good idea.

If I get the chance I'll put it over a chrono in HB. I heard the Bot might not be fully functional so who knows.

I think it's kind of harsh saying that most people can't even hit 13bps. Is it possible that in the past you've seen a gun shoot fast and then say to yourself "Oh, it's a timmy. Must have the gun on debounce 1." ???

I do understand what your saying,I guess what I should of said is this.I personally saw and fired a timmy that once you got it moving it would fire 2-3 three shots per pull.I can get my eblade going pretty good but this timmie was insane. All I can say is there is no way physically, to pull on the trigger as fast as the timmey was firing. The person that owns the marker just laughed and said how easy it was to shoot 26 bps.I never thought it was possible, but after firing that timmy I can only come to one conclusion. It has to be the board,or some other modification. Please correct me if Im wrong, or if you have came across a marker like this. The bad part is the guy just came back from vegas and was bragging about how the refs checked it and said it was ok to use in the tourneys.

If it was bouncing that much surely it being let through would be more down to ref's incompetance then anything else....
That said, it's been well documented that the WAS board's rof indicator 'exagerates' the pbs readout, then there's how it calculates the rof, shortest time between 2 shots for example, Angel style. The A4 I reviewed for PGI had no bounce what so ever that I could detect, the trigger pull was also set quite long, according to the LCD read out I hit 26 bps...

Lets see if this will help me explain what I witnessed.Pull trigger 1 time, marker fires once.Pull trigger 2 times in a rapid succession,Marker fires 3-4 times, and so on.I understand your point as you stated in your first replies.Ill go futher, 3 team mates with markers as I have described. They lay paint in the lanes they know your going to try for, this makes it nearly impossible to even make it to your first bunker. The point Im trying to make is for one,Id rather have 13-14 bps coming at me then 23-26 bps.But the main point is the people that buy aftermarket components to enhance there markers is a good thing,But the way they choose to use it is another. But as I said before the timmey in question was shooting faster than any thing Ive seen before. It would personally scare new players off the field.Your replies have been very insightfull, and I thank you for your time.Peace and Respect(Blastum).
