Hmmm

I thought the Car analogy was quite good, I mean u can buy a Lamborghini Diablo GT (if u had the cash), possibly the fastest road car in the world, 338km/h, no 'caps' on speed but you would still be restricted by the Speed Limits on the roads. You choose to either abide by the rules or 'burn-the-bitch' and break them. You get caught YOU pay the penelty, not the manufacture.

I suppose it all comes down to players choice, either they are willing to take the risk of being caught using illegal boards or they don't.

Me too. But if i am gonna be pelted from idiots with bounce then i am gonna return the favour. No questions asked. Being the unbalanced guy from the team, i think that nobody is going to like the fact that i am going to make the cheaters life hell.

I like my sight and hearing, so, if somebody wants to put that in jeperdy then i will return the favour, with interest. With this in mind then i think all baller's would play to the set standard. Nobody plays the gray and gets away with it around me, ask Pinki.

bounce boards

You guys probably know these sites but here ya go any ways,www.wickedairsports.com. Was boards and some others,And also www.warpedsportsla.com.These guys produce boards so if you walk the trigger, lets 3-4 times the gun will and can go full auto depending on debounce settings. Also they will hide the fact that while walking the trigger. They will fire 2-3 times
per trigger contact. As for holes in hoppers I will say Ive done that
to some fields rental equipment,But I was shooting at 250 fps.It is a very regulated field, so to me it seems to be a fluke. But I do think these markers need to be adressed.I think most of these markers reflect on the teams and there regards for our sport.Cheat to win = booger eatin morons. This is such a critical time for our sport with t.v getting on board, We all need to keep people informed, not only the public, but our local field operators, and last but not least, the new kids that will carry on after we are to old to debate these problems.

You cheat, and get caught, you get penalised.
You don't cheat, you don't worry about it

How can players not be blamed? That's not an informed post.

Reseach (if done) tells us that these guns have many modes. It is up to the player to pick the mode that can be used in the event they plan to play. I'm sorry, but it is not always possible to lay the blame at someone elses door. We have to take responsibility for our own actions, just like in the 'real world'
Agree totally.

First I have to say that Robbo's comments about this matter in the current (March) issue of PGI are RIGHT ON. I'm glad that I don't feel all alone concerning this vastly important safety question.

I understand Selous scout's feelings about this but don't also become a criminal because others are breaking the law. If you get bonus-balled MALICIOUSLY on any field that I have anything to do with, and it is clearly witnessed, the offending player will face disciplinary actions. We will not have PB markers used as fists or weapons of punishment.

I will again state a simple solution to cheater boards (concerning ROF): bring back gravity feed only. Then the maximum effective rate of fire will be around 13 shots per second.

Concerning ramping velocity: find some iron-clad way to catch it and then hang those who obviously and consciously cheat! I want everything reasonable done to protect my work environment and those who work with me.

You who consciously shoot at illegal speeds, above the speeds our lenses and safety equipment were designed for, you are my enemy! And you are the enemy of all of PB! There are some of us who have a hard on for you and we will hang you out!

Sorry this is just wrong, the debounce settings allow you to tune you marker and trigger so it's easy to hit a high and legal rof but not bounce. If it bounces at 10+bps it'll bounce at 1bps.

That's just not true, is seriously flawed, and won't solve the problem of cheater boards in the slightest.

Before you even think to implement such a cazy rule, please define 'gravity feed only' for me.

The Halo and Warpfeed were designed to and fit within the previous attempt to define gravity feed by the ASTM.

It is self-evident that you wouldn't like a no-force-feed rule.:D I'm not even sure I would like it but it would cap the rate of fire in a simple-to-control way. Unfortunately that would move us back to the days of VL Revolutions since most Halos, Warpfeeds and eVLution II would be out.

But you're right that it doesn't fix the problem; not the whole problem. And if you think that the biggest problems are more-than-one-shot per each trigger cycle and illegal velocities then I agree with you.

But actual ROF might be a problem too when you consider the quantity of multiple impacts a goggle lens is supposed to be able to tolerate before losing "structural integrity". Also multiple impact on the cranium may not be the healthiest routine.

Another question is: is a constant 13 BPS still too high?
