I'd like to see a WGP murder ball style "respawn" button, where players shot out in the hot zone could come back in. Try changing your strategy halfway through a game when four bad guys suddenly come pouring out of the box. i think a new scoring system is a must. have you ever explained the 100 point thing to somebody thats never played? I can't see Joe TV Watcher getting interested in a game he can't understand. Think Americans trying to watch cricket.
What i really want to see is a third dimension added. Maybe some jet packs or water pits....maybe some wild animals running around gladiator stylee.

Ok I am being lazy and not reading the other 2 pages fully so if this has been suggested already then sorry.

How about, instead of a time limit on xball matches, you have a best of style? e.g. A best of 5 games? That way you can still get the action of xball, slightly quicker matches, and it will be way cheaper on the paint. This way you can run a full tourney like the NPPL, but xball sytle. So instead of just the 1 7man game, you get 5 chances to defeat your opposing team. It will allow pretty much every team to experience Xball. I may have thought of things to add but forgotten to add them so feel free to expand the idea, although I want copyrights to it need to get some money to play somehow

Allow the crowds to make noise during games. The coaching thing in Xball has upsides and down, but spectators screaming is just cool. Also, this is easy to implement.

I don't think a best of any number will work on TV> There has to be a specific time frame within the game, say 20 minutes or two halves of ten with points counting towards victory instead of eliminations. Once a side has been wiped out, you get a point. After the time is up whoever has the most points wins. Or fill the paint balls with a fast acting virus, so once you get shot you only have a short time to do anything before you fall into a noxious coma. Last man standing gets the points and the antidote.

Excellent idea and it would still be slightly less dangerous than the gun situation currently in the NXL....

JoeTV just doesnt understand, period.

Not sure on the multiple games ideas, as much as I would like to do it I can't see it being easily implemented with 150+ teams. But maybe I'm wrong.

I do feel that a centre flag for 7man could be a likely change with high points focused on first grab, as this could be seen to give alot more action from the break...however as a certain tournament series has found, field setup plays a very important factor here otherwise you can see many games turning stale as the break to the flag is too open.

I'm not suggesting this is a good thing, it just, to me, seems an obvious move.

I dont really think that thats a problem, all sorts of sports have
conviluted scoring systems and still enjoy TV support - went to
watch a baseball game whilst I was in the States mah! Anyone
care to explain how the points worked in that.

If anything is gonna be done to the points system then it should
be abolished completely I mean when was the last time you saw
a high level (or indeed any level) game where the team hung the
flag with members of the opposition still in. And giving the other
guys points for shooting a couple of peeps when they basically
got their asses kicked! pls! You dont get 1/2 a goal in footie for
a near miss.

You should get a 3 for a win a 1 for a draw (ie time out) and a 0
for a loss.

I know not really format but sort of connected.

We don't need to get rid of all scoring systems, but I do agree it needs major overhaul.

Even in Xball I often wonder why the hell that stupid flag is still there... The damn thing is just an afterthought.

Running all the way around the three bases and back to home is 1 point. You have to run to 1st, then 2nd, then third, then to home plate.
