yeah, I will believe all kind of things, but I won't believe that Shockers don't break paint after wjhat I have seen with my own eye's and in just about every picture I see of one in action. I have also been to enough events this year and seen enough Shockers thrown around (Eg. Angel Fragoza in Madrid throwing his gun and saying I have had enough of this ****...) to know that the sponsored teams are not having great joy with them.

I think your sponsors would be proud of you Nick, but everyone expects you to defend the Shocker anyway, you are kinda paid to do so, and so your assurances that all the teams are rockin on shockers would be more at home on an ad campaign than a forum.
no offence, I love Danes, well, female ones anyway...

"I tried Joys Angels a couple of weeks ago, and they are not any faster either and to my mind a little less accurate."

.....but alot more accurate than a gun with a barrel full of paint eh
;) :D ;) :D

Why do people talk of accuracy in relation to paintball markers? Surely in this day and age we should be able to put to bed the age old myth that any marker is more accurate than another? Am I the only one that thinks this?

As far I can gauge the only thing that can really have an effect on accuracy in relation to a marker is shot to shot consistency, which is more likely a bi-product of the air source than the marker. After that it is just down to paint and barrel match surely?

Or am I missing something?

As far as I can tell, and I can assure you I've tried many different markers...

Crap paint = crap accuracy (regardless of Angel, Timmy, Shocker, Cocker etc)

Great paint = great accuracy (again, regardless of marker)

Unless of course SP have patented a way to defy the laws of physics?

With that out of the way, the next things are durability and reliability - don't think you'll top an Angel here!

Then speed - nothing faster than a Fly! I agree that the Angel 4/Speed was limited not by it's cycling rate but because the Halo wouldn't work well with Sensi. With the Eyes the Fly gets on fine with the Halo and what's more, three of our team shoot Fly's - not one of them takes a squegie on field!

Anyway, I digress - point is, unless someone can clearly demonstrate that one marker is inherently more accurate than another (and saying 'I shot it and it was DEFINATELY more accurate' means jack ****) can we please leave accuracy out of the equation?

Having said that if someone has some empirical evidence about marker accuracy to the contrary I would LOVE to hear it...

Exactly....the issue is to have a gun that wont let you down........if your bursting and chopping 247 you cant play your game.....

Hurrah!!!

I actually think its a scandinavian thing. They never really grasped the fact that accuracy is down to the barrel/paint match, and shooting a round ball. Nicks been around a long time, playing at a high level, and still hasn't got it...

Well then as our resident champion of Angels perhaps you can tell us when WDP is going to be introducing a barrel system to take full advantage of your vaunted barrel/paint match.

Erm... didn't we already know that? Rumour was it was something to do with money...

The interesting point is now, whether or not it is effecting their performance? Personally I would doubt it. I think there will be more important variables then whether their shockers chop occasionally...

It was just a personal thing I have about accuracy in relation to pb markers, I just think it's a bit...silly!
