My point Pete...

Chris, I agree, I 100% agree, I got a meeting today with Sergei and some others, we'll see what comes of it.
It's madness having no coherent direction or even a set of working proposals this close to 2004, we ask for answers and all we get is bull, evasion, spin.........

I've answered your damn questions. As usual, these days, you just don't want to read or even try to understand my answers. Pretty apparent for anyone who can read.

Pete,

You've made a lot of allusions and even concrete suggestions about a merger or alliance between Millennium and NPPL Super 7, a so-called world league.

Would you please elaborate on who you've talked to about these proposals and who is involved?

Who have you talked to about this? Which companies are involved or behind such a proposal? What format would be played? Are all the Millennium promoters included in your plans? Exactly what plans do you have to make it realistically work?

Please give us the details of your discussions so far with Sergei. What exactly do you plan to discuss when you talk to hím next?

How do you propose to get European teams playing NXL teams, which are around 90% of the top teams in the world? How do you propose to get the other top teams like Dynasty, Strange and Naughty Dogs to play Euro teams? (BUy a 747 perhaps?)

And by all means, please don't feel our heads with fanciful ideas and bull**** if you're not prepared to back it up with concrete decisions and substance here and now!

I didn't realise I was in any official position where I could be questioned, correct me if I'm wrong but are you not the official mouthpiece and EXL rep in Europe ?
Surely it is for the people who are in 'official' positions to be the ones who are queried regarding EXL, not I.

I think I have made it extremely clear hundreds of times that most of the time I am just discussing, getting feedback, speculating, trying to answer questions and get ideas. I always make it clear when I post anything officially.

And I have said many, many times that I am not the decision-maker here.

No, I am not the official mouthpiece and EXL rep in Europe. I have been retained by the Millennium board as X Ball commissioner to run the Nations Cup Series and those duties will be fulfilled at the end of the World X Ball Championship.

I have been told that I would be the commissioner for our X Ball program for 2004, but that is a long way from being officially decided.

All I can do now is discuss and get ideas, etc. etc. until the whole thing is decided. That is I can try to do it here while you keep throwing a spanner into the discussions, for some reason.

So let me, a simple reader, see if I understand this correctly.. coz is difficult to sift out the serious comments from the cr*p in this thread...

There are no concrete plans for the EXL next year. No concrete plans for teams, sponsorship, organisation, location, setup, who's organising it, nothing... just a discussion with a vague idea towards making something X-Ball-like happen so we don't get "left behind"?

Is that about right?

If so, the main posters are three pages into this thread and in exactly the same state they were on Page One, Post One.

If not, I give up reading any more posts that have anything to do with EXL because they seem to be a waste of time both for me to read and for you to post in.

No, that's not it. What I have been trying to say all along is that no definite decisions have been made yet that I know of. I have also said that there will be a meeting of some sorts at Campaign and these issues will be discussed.

The board does not plan to make some kind of knee-jerk reaction and make some serious mistakes.

What I have been trying to do here is DISCUSS possibilities, express opinions about how I think it should go, get some ideas from respected people out there so they can be taken into consideration.

And when I do so, certain persons feel like they must cut me off at the knee.

Now I don't know what is so hard to understand about my use of these threads.

man you guys are crazy over there. Ah yeah we arent going to Europe next season. I mean we would like to it one of the things that we have loved doing the last few seasons. As much as I hate to say it Pete is right we cant afford it. I probably spent twice as much so far this season as I did last season. The S7 guys will be there but probably not the nxl.

Hey Rich, exactly the point I was trying to make to Wadidiz but he wouldn't even acknowledge the problem and it's consequent effect on getting any of you NXL guys over here to play in 7's let alone EXL.
Some of the S7 guys may well come over but they will wanna play 7-man, no way are a significant number of them gonna come and play EXL on a regular basis.
But hey...what do I know:rolleyes:
Anyway, Rich, hope all is well with you and rest of the Ironmen and I'll see ya soon !

Well shut my mouth! as we say in Georgia.

Looks like you won this round, Robbo. Hell, it's probably a KO.
Maybe the last you'll hear from me on this subject.

I guess I'll go and slash my wrists.
