How about expanding on what Niall had before .... country bodies forming the EPA?

There is a UKPSF, and a French association - what about other European countries as well?

How about the respective presidents of each country body (assuming that they are voted into place) stand as an interim council for the EPA until formal elections can be held?

I am assuming here that players/teams support their own country associations, so it is a simple matter for them to expand and look to cover the interests of tournament players as well. Easy enough really.

The next we know we could be looking at a global body (shudder, what a thought  ) ... especially if we look at the major international series (NPPL/Millennium) coming closer together.

I can speak for the New Zealand body - we would be keen and currently use the Millennium rules anyway - and I am sure the Australians would be interested as well.

Anyway - my 2c - happy to discuss further offline if anyone wants.

There is a big difference between most federations and the EPA.
Most federations are just organisations that organise and run a tournament series (some exceptions obviously).
The EPA would be more like a consumer's union. As I see it, the last thing the EPA should want to do is organise events (as someone suggested on this thread). The EPA is there to offer some counterweight to the promotors, making sure that ballers get what they pay for.

Agree with you completely ... the last thing the EPA should be there to do is try and run things - that wouldn't be their area of expertise.

I don't know what the federations in Europe do - but it shouldn't take much to have them assign a committee member to the EPA committee to be a player/team advocate .... and teams would know to whom they should be sending their feedback into (on a local level).

I suppose I see it (personally) as a way to decentralise all the work, and try to spread it across a wider group of people (i.e. the countries). Consolidated feedback is then discussed amongst the EPA committee and presented to the Millennium Series organisers.

The beauty of this system is that players/teams can have local meeting/discussion or full EPA meetings at tournaments.

I WILL NOT BE FORCED!!!!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I find it absolutely appalling that Goose and Pipes tried to force the EPA on us! I mean, just the idea of being forced to accept an organization that wants to improve the quality of tournaments, address safety issues, help voiceless players bring their issues to the Millennium Board, and selflessly dedicate their time to what appears to be a constant uphill battle. Un-friggin-conscionable!!!!

Do membership numbers make the issues that they've brought to the MS board any less valid? No.

Do the number of teams represented make the issues that they've brought to the MS Board any less valid? No.

Has the EPA suggested any major changes that would affect all players in a way that may not welcomed by everyone? No.

Is there anyone out there that has voiced the opinion that Goose and Pipes were unfit for the job, or that they did not want one or both of them to head the EPA? Not to my knowledge.

Well color me confused, but it sounds like bullsh!t to me. That said though, if this is going to work, the players need to get off their a$$es and sign up, show up, and get involved so that nobody can argue the validity of the EPA.

It seems
The EPA needs new members to be a force to be reckoned with
or to be seen as official represetatives of the Millenium customers, by the Mill board.

So when players who already signed up are willing to recruit new members, like some of us already are and have been doing
then it would also be nice if we can tell those prospectmembers
something about the plans the EPA has for the near future;

So in other words

What is on EPA's agenda/to do list at the moment ??
