To answer Rancid and Lars

Last year over 300 teams played the M/s (I think its around 350 but don't have the info to hand).

375 individual members just is no way near enough. Its more of a forum than an association at the moment. So we listen to its opinion and take it on board when we make our decisions. The membership is not the real problem though, everyone that plays the m/s can join- If we could do what I suggested in a previous post.

Lars I am not against the EPA in any way. Its just got to sort itself out before we can start taking it seriously. That isn't to say we don't listen already. We value the opinions of those involved but until they get the mandate of their members and up the membership we can't go further.

Rancid How many?? I can only speak for me but I reckon 500 players that have elected their commitee.

Also that they had not got around to deciding what kind of recognition they would afford us.

The whole point of this was to rest absolute power away from the Promoter, and give the player a little bit of leverage; it doesn't matter a squat if the Mil say they don't recognise you.

It's starting to look a bit soft this.

Tell me, you don't think the epa is being immasculated just at the point where the Mil format is changing do you? You know, get rid of any possibility of a co-ordinated dissenting voice?

mmmmm I was wondering the same thing myself!

The other thing that worries me is they say we have to be elected, but I have never elected anyone onto the Millennium Board, have you?

Now I understand that they are a company and no one has the right to elect a company board of directors, but they seem to have changed there tune a bit this year, which makes me woneder why.

IThe EPA is in no way wimping out in fact we are working on some things right now that should help the wheels turn.

We have done all we could

As you may remember:

I asked you (the EPA) for your minutes (the notes made during the two EPA meetings that were held)- I never got anything

I asked for any complaints from players, any input (as I have done the past year and as I will do the next seasons to come) - I got some about the Air, which we fixed right away

I have asked to be invited to the EPA meeting at Campaign as I missed that first one in Toulouse, apparently it has not been held.

All of this has led to no action from the EPA side, I'm sorry but it's true. I have spoken to Goose at Campaign and that was a good talk and I immediately sent the info I got on to the people concerned.

I wish I could get your input personally instead of having to read all these comments here. I am very much open to any ideas, suggestions and complaints! Mail me!! It's free!

As for electing the Board: without them you wouldn't have a series and I think you all know that.

We (on the Board and all Millennium staff) are striving to become a better series, to give you more quality, we do our outmost, but we need you input!!

I would like you all to mail me your ideas and if you have any complaints, not only send those, but think of how you want us to improve things. At this point the Customer Service desk is open: karlijn@millennium-series.com

I would like to have a representive organ like the EPA, but you guys all have to do something. I am more than ready to listen, explain and talk, so come on!!

Agreed you have offered to help. Just seems to me that from last year things have changed a bit. That is all I am saying.

You have a good point there, Paul. They say in American politics that one letter to an elected representive stands for 1000 constituents.

There are hordes of players out their who almost never look at this forum or any other. Many of these people are simply too busy or assume that those who are active take care of things for those who aren't.

I think the numbers look pretty good relatively speaking. And like Jay says, if those who are signed up vote with their feet it can make a substantial impact.
