Interesting
Several months ago someone posted some criticism of a tournament as a first post and the "moderators" jumped on it and said something about the posting.
I am suprised that this has gone unchecked.
The first posting does not warrant a reply, other than if you feel you can do better then do it!!! it is easy to criticise and then not even have the balls to put your name to it!! Enough said
To address the weather, whilst I can do a lot to organise the event I can't sort the weather out.
I along with Tracy and Emma paint set up three of the fields of Thursday they were bone dry - we had to hammer the pegs in as the ground was that hard. On Saturday Kellys trained at the site and it was dry the fields were excellent (if you doubt my work ask a Kelly) The amount of rain that feel on Saturday night and all day Sunday was vast, now maybe we could have made some provision for wet weather but I doubt if we could have made suffcient provision for so much rain. You will also have noted that the netting was increased in height in certain areas but again with the rain it made it sag.
The answer must be we stop playing in winter and make paintball a summer sport as if it is wet (and it was) some players complain, at Witton Castle it was dry all day but cold (players spent more time complaining about the cold than complimenting the facilities laid on) and incidentally just to complete the picture at Team Spirit last year the complaint was it was to HOT!!!!!.
I can't sort the weather out but I along with John Payne will take on board the other comments.
