Team Zone is looking forward to meetingf all teams in divison 1 this month as we will be looking at this as a learning curve rather than having our arses whooped:D , only one way to learn is to play better teamsand maybe getting whooped. But to every bad thing good things happen(i hope:( )

So good luck to you all and i will tell you all what its like to play against div 1 teams very soon.....

Be safe , play fair but have fun .

Who's up for a beer anyway !

Liz get the cream ready for my welts. also looking forward to a cheap day out as i will not be shooting a lot of paint but watching a lot from the dead box.

Steve, you don't shoot much (enough) paint anyway :p Although if you'r borrowing a timmy........

As for Animal going up, it will only be their 3rd tourny, where ML & Berks have more experiance ! But as Liz ALWAYS says, it depends on entry so who knows, none of them might go up ! Including Zone to div 1 !!!

Says who? ML Chimps have competed in a grand total of ONE tournament, with 50% of the squad having only been playing for ~6months:rolleyes:

That said - I know that they'll kick butt no matter which division they play:) Esp. with their new firepower:cool:

Believe it or not, it was the first outing for the ML chimps at the last D7's. Only a few of the team had played a tournament before!
I take it as a compliment:D

We will be happy wherever we are put, as you learn more from playing better teams, even if the games only last 30 seconds :)

Ah, but Animal have recently recruited a very experienced player who is not only playing but is putting a lot of effort in to coaching them. This can make a massive difference to a team's performance (as we all know) so there's a good chance they will be one of those going up if the entries require any promotion from Div 4.

Don't forget guys it's my birthday on the Saturday of the next Dartford 7's, so I want lots of hugs & kisses to celebrate!:D :D :D

I believe ML would have finished above Animal in second place last time if wasn't for an incorrect or maybe simply confusing implementation of Penalty Points.

Although it is rather difficult to work out from the rules, ML Chimps were given points incorrectly. I know the series does not use Millennium / NPPL rules, but I believe you can only 1:4:1 and also penalty point the winning team, not the losing team. Correct me if i'm woring but that means a minus score for a game, which I've not seen before.

It maybe my intepretation of the rules is somewhat incorrect, but it would be handy if a set is available in the event for both the Team Captains and Ultimates to refer back too. Each tournament series is entitled to their own rulesets, but when a vast majority of players and coaches at the event alike are used to Millennium rules, any obvious differences may need very CLEAR clarification. I'm all for harsh penalties for certain offences but is there any grading system available? An inexperienced player getting a 1:4:1 and 50 penalty points for playing on seems harsh (although possibly fair  )

To Credit both the Chimps and Ultimates I believe they discussed the matter in a rational manner, something which many a team captain maynot do.

Although very good marshalling at the event though.

:)
