Originally posted by UnderRated I got shot in my arm, in a spot that I could've cleaned it easily if I had leaned agians the bunker but I called myself out and the marshal didn't see the paint splat until I showed it to him. I could've continued playing but I didn't.
wow you are so honest

I can't see anybody having sympathy for under-rated on this field, if you didn't cheat then you must be victim of possibly these guys only mistake all day!

The marshalling on this field was spot on, some of the best marshalling I have seen anywhere. We played 3 games on this field and in every one they were 100% on the ball. Thanks guys, you did a fantastic job!:)
altho i dont like to argue or cause fights (ye right) i wud have to dis-agree. i played 1 game on this field b4 i fooked my finger and my day was over

anywayz, i and the others while in the dead box on RPS field noticed a rather LARGE hit on the guys elbow as he got the flag, we did point this out to the marshalls and they went and found this hit as he called the flag.

Now then, please correct me if im wrong but if some1 is found to be "playin on" with a huge hit on this elbow, collects the flag and takes it back is a 1 4 1 offence is it not?

Yet the player with a the hit on him is pulled, no penalty against him and the flag is returned to our base for the last player on their team to go and collect and get the win.

in another game that i was watching, one of our players gets shot right at the top of the goggles, the smallest of hit about the size of a 5p - yes ok this is a hit but the player cant see it, hey i cudn;t even see it till i had the player was next to me in dead box.

anywayz, the player gets shot on the top of the gogs, JT thingys btw and 5-10 seconds later after shooting a few more shots, marshal comes over, calls 1 41 and 50 pen points.

me not have no dig at any1 sir honest, but this is going from 1 extreme to the other dont you think? not arguing, just putting my views across

love u all

regarding the elbow thing i cant comment because i wast there.

regarding the shot in the head you dont just have to be able to see a hit to call yourself out- if it is deemed by the marshals that you could have felt it then it becomes an "obvious hit" (playing on is 141) what you should have done is called someone over to check it.

now obviosly your going to say it was cold couldnt feel it or see it etc etc therefore becoming an "unobvious hot"..... fair enough... but the marshal made a decision

Depends how you read the rules...

If the flag carrier breaking the plane of a flag station is found to be inactive, the flag judge willradio his counterpart at the opposite flag station to immediatley rehang the spare-flag and the game goes on with the remaining time running
with the following foot note:

For example because he has a valid hit
The rules later go on to explain the usage of 1-4-1 for an obvious hit but there is not reference to it in the above rule. Personally I think that is open to abuse but hey.

EDIT: Sorry this is taken from MS rules not D7's

On the goggle shot...from Sam's point of view he could see a blatant shot on the goggles and our player continuing to shoot...had I been marshalling I would also have awarded a 1-4-1. Now agreed - there is a point on the lenses where you can't always see paint - however - I defy anyone who says they did not notice being hit on the head/goggles with a paintball! We deserved the 1-4-1 not the points but thats a fault in the D7's rules (which I was told months ago was going to be changed) and not the marshalls but hey!

All in all, normal good tourney - just not for us, we were ****e  Just one thing though - Dave please extend the players area!!! :D
