Or is it, as Tha Fun Police likes to preach, that ballers take it up the backdoor so often they're used to it and put up with **** with nary a whimper...
We are lucky enough to be WDP sponsored, so Tomahawk is available to us anyway, we won free entry, plus camping is free so Campaign Cup is very cheap this year. :D

This may be a stupid question but what happens to the free paint that is given by the sponsors at the beginning of the season??

I mean if im wrong we are talking about 11million paintballs or 5500 boxes if my maths is right been given for free no shipping duty no nothing and then sold on for a profit by the Milleniums???

If say each box is sold for £35 thats £192,500 made on paint alone !!!!!

Does the money made selling the paint get put back into the events ??

If so then how come the entry fee seems to be higher than last year???

Also on the Campaign Cup web site it says we can bring our own paint or buy paint from the sponsors at a discounted price!! So doesnt that negate the staining paint issue seeing as we can bring our own paint for the event or not

Hi Its been a long time!

A few questions here and I'll try to answer all of em.

Firstly Celtic are one of the only paint manufactureres that have chosen not to jump on the Millennium Band wagon this year, although they have said they will be in 2005. They would have been with us this year but they did not have time to get their branding ready for the whole season. I am sure you wil see Celtic/Hovid at Campaign but only in a promotional capacity.

As for the other Paint sponsors that support the Millennium, their Sponsorship goes into a big pot which helps keep the Millennium running.
To allow a paint company the same rights as the other sponsors without them giving the same is unfair to those who support us .

If you got any queries about what you can and can't use please call Campaign on 01932 865999

I completely understand why only Millennium sponsors should be allowed to SELL paint at the tournaments. However, I think the issue for many people is that they can only BYO if their sponsor happens to be a Millennium sponsor as well.

Hi Liz,

Is there really a difference??

We are trying to protect the interests of those that support us.

If you BYO paint that not one of them could have sold then they aren't happy. Just ask Pipes how Evil would feel.

You can BYO anything but non sponsored brands and as you know there are some great deals offered for paint at the events.

Well there is if you have a deal with a company that isn't a Millennium sponsor. I remember the old days when Mayhem was a site-paint only tournament, and you got the situation of fully sponsored teams having to pay out for paint. I know there's some really good deals around especially at the Millenniums, but it's hard to show loyalty to a sponsor (something I feel strongly about) if you can't shoot their paint.

I should point out that I have no axe to grind and am not in any way associated with any paint companies, I'm not even able to play this year. Just putting forward a point of view that others have given to me.

Well hopefully this position will resolve itself soon as I said in my previous post.

Until then you can always ask your sponsors to talk to us and we'll help wherever we can, but not by compromising our existing sponsors.

I'm sorry but this is a non issue. This has been in force all year and because the brit leg is approaching, we then question the rules. This was even well covered when the rule was announced paint companies knew about it and either opted in or out.

The paint is given to the individual promotor of the event,
he or she sells this paint through their store or site.

Same goes for the m2 prices for vendors, prices for this season are;
• 125 € / m2* Maxs Masters
• 125 € / m2* DMA
• 150 € / m2* Toulouse
• 125 € / m2* Iberian Cup
• 150 € / m2* Campaign Cup
• 100 € / m2* All Partner Events
***no tent or floor included.

Food or beverages is mostly sold to companies who have ''experience'' in this of which the promotor takes a cut.

Entree Fee is clear to you i guess.

Last but not least are the sponsor fees, you have platinum, gold and silver sponsors.
You also have field sponsors (they are allowed to place a field)
