maybe Niall could hold next years CC at say Knebworth park in hertfordshire . it holds great gigs there so a Millenium event would be a needle in a haystack and there are lots of hotels and various food outlets very near by. Oh my one and only greatest moment of campiagn was to see Mr Pink on the X-ball field (not playing but being a pot bitch) :D

I just wanna echo the praise that my team has given towards this event. It was great in many ways. Thanks for all the support given to the team, hopefully we will be at a few more Milleniums next year.

See you all around. :)

I loved it.

The third tournament Pressure DVD have been to, and nothing will beat the thrill of my first, at Warren's Euro 5-man last year, but Xball at CC was a revelation. Really. I think that despite what some people say, this is the format to take the sport to the next level...

It was just a really great advert for the game, although I'd second what a previous poster wrote about the lack of bins - by the time we got to sunday I was having to pick up rubbish myself in order to make sure our shots of RL training looked as good as they should.

From Pressure's point of view the friendliness and amenability of players to spend time with us on what were sometimes some mad set-ups was really appreciated - new bezzie mates Ignition and NeXus stand out in particular alongside existing compadres Tigers and Ducks. And Sanchez and Xalo from the Foreign Legion. And Colin. And everyone else who gave us their time.

NBR, I'm assured the DVD will be out by Christmas!

I think the fact that today I felt really low and was pining to be back at Esher sums up that I really enjoyed myself and had a great time despite just missing Sunday club.

I have to agree with the comments on the atmosphere though. I don’t think that the Crystal Palace's stadium automatically brought about the buzz that seemed to be missing, but the general lack of big teams, PA and music did. X ball was doubtlessly the main attraction, so the separation meant that the 7man was left pretty much with no attention.

The 7man layout did rule though (apart from toilets, just to add for the 10th time!), but maybe if it had been alongside the Xball that extra buzz would have been there, even if it was just from people watching 7man during the Xball timeouts.

I still had a rocking time, thanks to all the staff (particularly the Spyder field marshalls, really earned my respect). I'm sure that next year will be even better once these teething problems are worked out. I know I'm looking forward to it already :)

The problem with venues like Milton Keynes bowl and Knebworth is that they cost an absolute FORTUNE to hire. What with the set-up and clear-up days before and after, the entries would probably have to go up by at least 3 figures for each team for it to be affordable.

Got to agree on the bins, toilets and food (and maybe the layout) being the let downs of the event, but I don't think the venue itself could be much better for the CC's purposes - reasonably compact without being crowded, fields all close to each other, decent level grass playing areas, good transport links & a bar.
