Awesome event!
Loved the layout, lots of seats for the xball spectators! Free camping also a bonus!
Penalty desisions in open xball seemed a lot more reasonable then previous legs. Markers being checked for bounce also done in a fairer manner.

Excellent, well done all involved can't wait for next year.

Just re-iterating what others have posted but......

+`s - Good layout, fields very close to staging area, air close to staging area and the majority of the time good security to the players area. Parking close to staging area and plenty of it.

-`s - Toilets to far from 7man, One food van per 1000 people !!!!, Not as impressed with trade stands as previous years (was really looking forward to a Dye tent like last year), Not the same atmosphere as previous CC`s (not just because of the venue, but I believe due to the fact that the big pro teams were not there (Dynasty, XSV, Arsenal, Infamous etc))

But I had a good weekend and commend the hard work Niall and the Campaign crew have put it to making CC 04 a success :)

Pro
1. Easy to get to and leave from
2. Free camping
3. Excellent staging areas - Why does everybody always complain about size?
4. Nicely Organised
5. H-Pac efficient as usual

Cons
1. Not enough spectator staging on 7 man field
2. No effective tannoy system covering whole event
3. Bias towards X-Ball
4. Toilets between Main Stand and Camp site fine, but making players have to rush 400 yards out of the staging area, then through the trade arena, just to relieve themselves is ridiculous. A bank of 6/8 portaloos near the staging area car park exit, whould have been ideal
5. Players chrono/marker test station. excellent but it still needs to be netted off. I saw one player, on the left hand side, back out of the station to let the next player in, bump into a player behind him and accidently discharge his marker. The shot hit the construction fencing and luckily no one was going past (It only takes one accident to cause serious injury).
6. lack of atmosphere
7. Lack of food outlets
8. Layout of the trade village and lack of info on who is where
9. The construction fencing should have been netted as a secondary safety measure.
10. Not enough dustbins especially around campsite
11. Rumour has it that the DVD will be all X-ball - which is a shame because there was some cracking 7 man games.
12. Designated showers and changing facilities for female players

Basically as a venue it will never match Crystal Palace, but it is a good venue. No doubt Niall and his team will make next years even bigger and better, CC '04 is only the beginning

Thank you all

I have just recovered from the weekend and slowly getting my voice back after a weekend of hardcore balling. I had a fantastic time.

So, thank you to nail, the campaign crew and marshals (some bad calls will always happen, we are only human:confused: :) ). The team who was helping me when I was coaching the AM team in the x ball (I think it was Storm not sure sorry please correct me if I am wrong) and my team mates for helping on the side lines. The Russians NEED to be thanked just for playing. They are a true inspiration and deserve respect, well done Legion:cool: . Also all the teams that participated.

Last but not least, the whole London Tigers family. All the players from the Pro, Am and Kids teams were fantastic especially George and Darren form the kids who would give us tips and tell us were we where going wrong. Not forgetting the most important people in the tournament, my team mates I am proud to be playing with such talented players even when some of you have only had played three tournaments you played very professionally. I would also like to thank our sponsors for the support.

See you around,

Zak

A pleased paintball player

Mytwo pennies worth

Pretty much as above really.

It just didn't feel like a big event. This is the first time i've felt the hype hasn't lived upto the expectation.

Positives: Nice field layouts, close parking, tents for setting up, 10 mins from M25, good marshalling in my opinion, Awesome exhibition match, close air station

Negatives: No atmosphere (possibly due to lack of pro league?) Lack of seating to watch games, toliets, PA system, upto date automatic scoring (if you went to Germany you know what i mean) Cleanliness. The staff that were detailed to this worked damnned hard.... There just weren't enough. I also felt that using the term "stadium" for the one sided cow shed for X ball to be pushing the truth a little.

Its also the first time i've felt that another tourney (Germany) was better presented than CC. I have to say when i pay £100 entry fee i want something special..... and unfortunately that wasnt it.
However i have great faith in Niall and the gang changing that for next year!

my thoughts

Return of Tenbellies, and fcuk me, "bring the pain train" - Philly's hand cannons. Both the Open X and EXL, had to be the most brutal paintball ever played in the UK since Tournament left the woods and beating up your opponents in the car park became unfashionable.

Very good organisation from the Campaign crew, can't comment too much on the 7 man, but X ball was well run and executed. Lotta cameras out there too!

Fields were great as usual with the MS.

I think the venue was better than CC, the staging area hadd good cover and seats aswell as tables.

Marshalling was on the whole great, I dont mind the marshalls checking my gun for bounce, I love to taunt them and say "go on make it bounce, it must be bouncing its too fast its bouncing". But they just cant make it bounce.

The only drawback, as usual with Campaign is that it is held in London.

Peple must come from other countries and think that the whole of England is as crap as London. The roads are a joke, prices are a rip off and the place is a **** hole.

After a few years of Campaign you do get used to it.....a bit :(

I must've missed something on that one as well. I mean the place is too posh to have a McDonalds within a 50 min drive in every direction, and the Estate Agents don't put the prices in the window. sheesh.

Although getting to the event on Friday am was defo rubbish in rush hour traffic and the rain. Especially when I was caught in a 2 mile tailback of BMW X5s with Mummies taking Tarquin and Tamsin to school (I woulda made the little sh*tes walk).
