Mr.Pink

I think people are being constructive. Personally I paid to play not to watch. I entered the CC 7 man and didnt spend a fortune to watch the xball etc.

Coulda done that for free ;)

campaign was great but lets have some ultimate judges that know what they are doing not like the one on the sterling field he couldn't even marshall punters.

Whoever said that IMPACT UK were sandbagging How wrong was you?????

It felt like a hyped up M25 tournament but with more trade stands. Although I felt that the trade stands, not all but most where a let down from last year.

Not what you expect from the campaign crew hope next year will be better.

Out of 10 i would give it a 3.
Yep, sounds real constructive to me;)

Oh, and if that other comment was a dig at our performance - bothered. I got to play against the number one NXL team and had more fun in that game than I've had in any tourny all year;)

IMHO 7-man sucks balls:D

Bit harsh Mr Pink, 7 man and 5 man are the bread and butter of british ballin' and IF we were subsidising the x-ball then your appreciation is rightly noted ;)

Not all of us have franchises or the sponsorship to play x-ball, its an amazing spectacle but its just premier league football compared to sunday league which is the backbone of the game.

This was my first CC and I have been looking forward to playing one for a few years now, I am afraid to say i felt that the 7-man was left as a second rate add on.

Unless it improves, i wont be back to the CC, I would rather pay a little more and go into mainland Europe, have a holiday AND play ball.

As my captain FAMINE said, much respect to the Teams, Marshalls and Crew, (except one Chrony judge, yes you know who you are)

Last point, It was nice to have a field judge (Spyder field) come and apologise in person after pulling me out of a game incorrectly, bad call but he knew and made sure I knew that.

i thought a very good venue nice lay out apart from the loo,s being so far away
the bad side after getting passis for my foster boy,s on the saturday being told on the sunday that no one under 12 year,s old was aloud in to the stageing area i can not leave them unintened as thay both have disabilities
but peaple were aloud to roll and smoke drug,s in full veiw of everyone not just in the stageing area but in the trade village and in the seat,s for the x-ball
if peaple want to smoke drug,s in there own house in private that,s ok but not in front of little kid,s when we are trying to bring paintball a good image

We had a similar experience on this field........apologies are nice, but so is making it too the finals! Anyway, $hit happens, I didn't spit my dummy at the ultimate at the time, and i'm not going to do it now!

As others have said, the good calls outwieghed the bad, and all the marshalls deserve credit for the job they did!

Have to say I really enjoyed this tourney, thought it was better than last years campaign. Granted the grandeur of Crystal Palace was missing, but we had our own tents, the layout (bar toilets) was pretty damn good! Water and fruit is definatly a move forward!

The fields played well, there wasn't a field there I felt was badly planned. The big centre pieces encouraging move fluid paintball, more on the running and gunning, less end to end boring barrages!!!

I know the atmosphere was a little lacking, but it was raining and windy rather than hot and sunny like last year! The weather really helps!!!

A big thankyou to Niall and the campaign crew for the effort they put in, a little work and next years cup will be fantastic!
5 of our players just played this as their first millennium, and 5 minutes after we dropped out of the semi's were talking about doing amsterdam and/or germany and/or Tolouse next year.
So I guess you could say that they enjoyed it a bit???

New Venue, New Problems!

In my opinion, it was a good weekend. But I have to admit that I've always looked forward to CC as being the last Millennium of the year (I realise it isn't this year but still) it normally rocks in ways the previous Millennium's don't.

However, this years CC was a bit of a letdown. In no way was it anywhere near the level of previous CC's, but still, Niall & his crew did the best job they could.

Obviously there was never going to be the glamour of Palace. How can you compare an International Athletics Stadium to a Sunday League Rugby Club? You just can't! Although I would put money on the fact that had it been held at CP, there would be complaints of how far away the fields are from the staging area!!! Sometimes you just can't win!!!

A good job well done Niall. Thanks to you and all your team for the hard work, but with the refit going on & everything else, can we go back to Crystal Palace next year, as if we don't I don't believe you can claim that, and I quote, "The Campaign Cup is the largest event in the European professional Paintball Calendar".

Anyway, enough about that. When does the fun of the 'Worzel Bash' kick off???!!! :D :D :D
