portsmouth uni have video footage of our players being sometimes shot many times.

at temple in april our onfield captain got lit up, the marshall was telling the player to stop, our capt was yelling her heart out and she still got shot more.

another temple we were being truely beaten and had one player left, he was looking out the left side of a laydown coke and a player came round the right side. instead of shooting the pack he shoots the guy on the back of the head - double tapped.

on both occasions when mentioning it to the marshall he just said 'tough'.

i think that there should be some rules that when excessive play like that is done the marshalls have some ability to penalise. when our player was shot in the back of the head he was no threat to the opposition and he could have easily been shot some where else. if this is seen then marshalls should be able to penalise players if they deem it so.

Whenever I mug someone, which is not often I will admit, I try to shoot them as little as possible, if I know they are looking out the opposite side of the bunker I will come round and shoot them once or twice in the chest area, then watch them walk off the field, if they look like they are going to turn around then I will do them again. admittedly this wont work if there are alot of people left on the other team.
there is no need to aim for the head, no need at all.

if people want t know these teams then i can name and shame, but would prefer not to. but if they are named and shamed will they either retaliate on field or defend them selves but so much time has passed they probably don't remember (most probable).

what should we do about it when it occurs, i think talking about it on the forums is a good idea after the event as it is fresh in thier minds, the shot on heads my have been accidential, verysensitive trigger and bad aim.
maybe on the forums there should be a disciplinary forum, where matters such as this and others can be discusssed, a mix of speak your brains and tournament.

The problem is there are two sides to the story.
There are some people who will get mugged, lose the game and start saying **** about the other team, we have beaten teams or belived they should of beaten us and after the game moaned about everything to the marshalls, anyone who has seen us play we hopefully agree we are an honest team.

Also when people do mug other people they tend to panic a bit, especially newer players, this often leads to them firing a few more shots, my point being it will be hard to determine whether it was done on purpose. I think this is something we will have to accept as part of the game.:(

If its a string of shots fair play but not intentional bonus balling thats just unnessasary!

IMO!

Paul.

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing when I first read about that!! He'd have gotten my bottle smacked off the back of his head if he'd done that to me...... And bollox to that being dangerous, so's emptying half a hopper into someone.....

Nice of his team-mates to stick up for him too.......
