Or the player who wants to trigger as fast as possible but doesn't have the skill to hold his marker?! ;)

Ok guys you all hijacked the thread pretty well....but back to the start (cos i never posted to get an arguement about long barrels being better or not...good reading though) the first post (for any that missed it was my comment that the use of a longer barrel doesn't work) showed a pic of a guy only just touching his barricade with his broompole and hanging lots out I was using this to illustrate the lack of understanding of playing tight, this being the advice constantly being given in Newbies/Techroom/Tactics et al (yes I know the theory Niall) it is the lack of this advice being put into practise, that was was what I wanted comments on.

Apologies for the thread Piracy Mark... avast matey we'll strike the Jolly Roger, Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of Carbon Dioxide :p

As to your original point you do see many a baller standing in the open mishandling a marker with a foot and a half of barrel stuck on the front

Only one solution... shoot 'em until they learn better because they sure as hell aren't going to listen to you until they've been eliminated a few times because of sloppy technique...

... although to be honest most of them still won't listen then :(

all the other current threads aren't worth commenting on and I'm in a contrary mood--you see where this is going, don't you?
I don't see how, from the pic, such a judgement can be made. Where on the field is the guy playing? Where, specifically, is down field and the opposition? If anything the photo suggests to me he knows what he's doing. He's shooting lefty out the left side, his elbow is well in, his lead leg is jammed up tight on the prop and at a guess he's adjusting his angle using only his upper torso to maximize his vision while staying tight. More or less the opposite of what you suggested, Mark. How's that for a comment?:D

Here's my original reply to the thread:

Disagree bro

Not being a **** but if you look real close at the picture you'll see that the end of his barrel is touching the bunker which means the boy is pretty tight and has to lean his ass out like that to get a bit of vision. Also when you look at where he is in relation to the bunker his legs and hip are pushed right into the bunker itself and the camera is on a slight angle making him look further out than he actually is. I think the dude is pretty bloody tight to be honest and his profile is well slim, just check his forearm and elbow, it is vertical and doesn't stick out at an angle.

I seem to have been in the minority throughout this pots but still stand by my views with the whole barrel issue AND I still believe the guy is pretty tight, I mean you can't even see the rest of the bloody bunker in the shot to determine whether thye dude is at the edge or not, which from what you can see he clearly is no where near the outer edge of the bunker.

Discuss.

Al, if I had recalled your post

I needn't have bothered as you already had it covered. You don't need to be in the majority to be correct.:)
My only comment on the rest of the thread is that at least I managed to read the posts I was responding to unlike some other participants.:D
