Ok - all you brits can believe what you want :)

I'll leave this debate alone - as I think the negativity stems from the situation on the British tournament scene.

Don't ever confuse negativity with pragmatism.... or even 'optimistic idealism' with reality :)

I do however readily concede that our domestic scene would depress any serious minded UK baller but I doubt our malaise has affected all 3 of us in the way you suggest.

Peace !

Buddha:

That obviously depends on their facilities.

Some just drill and drill and drill and drill - because their Reball arena is not big enough for anything else.

Others both do drills and play games (like we do in Copenhagen and Stockholm, where the fields are fine for 5-man).

Frequency varies ofcourse - the most serious teams in Scandinavia practice 3-4 times per week with Reball.... my own team is limited to twice a week because a lot of the roster can't do anymore unfortunately.

Add to that normal paint training on selected weekends, and a host of local events on top of the Millennium schedule.

Powertrip and Cyclone: lack of quality players (may offend someone - but it's the truth)

Ignition: Beats the hell out of me - they are practicing the same way this year as last year - maybe they havent quite gotten used to the format yet? - you'll remember they struggled in the EXL also.

But really, all that is inconsequential - to me it is less interesting to look at specific teams - and more interesting to talk about whether playing reball 3-4 times per week, will negate the advantage US teams have so far had, because of much larger budgets and better training facilities.

I think it will - but the answer to whether I am right, lies a year or 2 away, when we will see where teams like Menace, Maharadjas, Solid, DOW Bdx, and a bunch of young Scandinavian teams nobody outside Scandinavia has heard of yet, are in the greater scheme of things.

Looking outside Scandinavia - places like Hannover and Montpellier also have fantastic training facilities, and teams based around those areas will have equal opportunites to do extremely well.
