Im not that extreme, but after 6 MS i can say that the French Marshals really Suck. They are technically poor, to slow to react (yes, the brain too), and have no respect for the players.
You can shout or ask politely, for sure they will not move one foot. will error and not even apologize. And be afraid, very afraid if your playing against a French Team cos you’ll have a Marshall giving away all your movements.
I have nothing against anyone, I only expect guys like the Tonton to have in consideration that we the Novices and Amateurs are the ones that aloud them to play for free.
He also said that is team puts 110% when they are marshalling and that he expects the other teams to do the same and at least make an efort to earn the points.

Thats is what I recall from is speech but I think that in a couple of days we will have it on video in one of the Portuguese Paintball Foruns.
Hang on on your chair and wait for the must aplauded speech in the MS awards cerimony.

It would seem that the Millennium's newest recruit or should I say patsy (wadidiz) has lost his ability to answer, leastwise to any questions I might venture.
Funny that ain't it ?
Coz he ain't been in the job 5 frikkin minutes and he's already managed to piss off some well respected and well liked people in the game who were in Portugal.

Seems to me that the position of authority he so desperately yearned for may well turn out to be a poison chalice, ain't life a bitch sometimes !

And I also hear that 'some' people on the board are looking to divert blame for the X-Ball jersey fiasco away from themselves and toward Magued on the basis that he was in charge of X-Ball for the Millennium.
Well, what is true, Magued was aware the charge was to be levied but by the time the teams should have been told, Magued had already resigned from that post over the Strange / Dynasty f##k up and Steve Morris (wadidiz) had been appointed.
Now I would guess Steve Morris was not immediately told when he took over Magued's job and it beggars the question, why not ?
Coz if he was told, then an even more serious question has to be asked, 'why didn't he tell the teams' but I do think it was more of a case of he wasn't told in the first place.
Bottom line is this, the teams should have been ASKED and CONSULTED and not arrogantly told, 'You are going to buy these jerseys at 30 Euros apiece or you don't play'.

Jeeez

Just to be sure: I know of no-one that has in any way blamed Magued for anything to do with X-ball. If they do it is ridiculous. Magued deserves nothing but praise for all his efforts and for his team-friendly attitude.

As I posted on another thread, some further clarification on exactly what our policies and programs are vis-à-vis X-ball will be forthcoming very soon. This information will go directly to the team captains and the Millennium organization first.

Robbo you're a ruthless executioner :) You got the looks you got the mindset now all we need is a pointy cape..

Seriously

There were some good ideas in this thread, ideas that CAN be done and CAN affect the future. Yet we still sit on our sexy butts and flame ppl. Lets do something or we might loose the quality of our Loved (and sometimes hated) Milleneum..

Please please someone take the initiative!

Peace

Chris,

I might even chip in to see you take over running events.:) On the sidelines watching YOUR show (if it is also a big one): I'm SO there, baby!

There seem to be some hidden agendas here!

I wasn't there and have only been to one event (Campaign 2002) so am probably not qualified to comment, but I will anyway.

In the past I have heard nothing but praise for Millennium Events, Campaign was fantastic.

So the guys made a cock up, big style, of this one!

If they admit to the mistakes, and not bury their heads in the sand, and change things for the next event then a great series will be saved.
