Euro X-Ball

Tontons

Mayhem Tigers
Ugly Ducklings
Joy Division
NBK
Shockwave
Now...... I guess teams like Nexxus, Ignition, Worms and Hardcore would also feel they deserved a spot.
So - If X-ball is going to follow the PSP plan for "City teams" - what are we left with ?
Toulouse Uncles (how many knew what "tonton" meant ?)
Moscow Legion
Paris Enemy
London Tigers
Copenhagen Ducklings
Stockholm Joy
Oslo NBK
Birmingham Nexxus
.....Would be my guess...... leaving Shockwave out in the cold, unless something is done to imcorporate them into either the London or Birmingham team.
Also..... I believe Belgium (unlikely prospect), Germany (Europes largest market.... they should be in !) and Portugal (quality wise not a given - but with Portuguese Nations Cup and X-ball history....they stand a chance) would want teams....
The race is on !
(Just an educated guess you understand)

Hey Nick, I will call u in a minute but for the time being I will answer your post :- There is no cap on the number of teams that theoretically can join up for X-Ball other than the fact the franchise criterion have to be met which would be, and remember nothing has been decided for sure yet, the team should be incorporated and there would be a designated owner.
The team are 'serious' contenders and they also have to have the start up franchise money, which will be considerable bearing in mind what's at stake.
I'm pretty sure most pro teams would like to take part but will be unable to fulfil all the criterion.
As for your comments re Shockwave, I see no reason why they should be precluded just because London and Birmingham may or may not be taken.
After all, who says Tigers have to have London or Nexus to have Birmingham, in fact Shock could take any name they want as long as it is not duplicated and they fulfil the other two conditions.
I am sure they fulfil the serious contenders criterion, and if they decide they want a spot and can come up with the money, then there is no reason at all they would not be able to play X-Ball, if that's what they want to do.
The rankings will just be used as a guide, as wild card entries such as Trauma in the states have already set that precedent of entry as they weren't even pro last year.
A lot has to be worked out and it's quite a gamble for all those involved but it's a gamble we all have to take, we have no choice in the matter.
Call u soon !
