At big games you get no cheaters, because everybody is out for a good time, howmany people leave a tourney with huge smiles On thier faces???
I know this is *way* out of date but I remember the first few NvS games that were held in years gone by. When the mighty Ledz led the North to victory after victory over the southerners.
I think it was the third that stopped me playing big games. I'd never before seen such blatant and disgraceful forms of cheating in order to get a win in a "fun" game. I watched wiping, playing on, hot guns, (people winding up automags on field to get extra range) overshooting, player abuse physical as well as verbal and a myriad of other things from my opponents, (they probably said the same thing but I saw what they did).
I could blame the 'press' a bit here for all the "South must win at all costs" stuff but I won't
, but I never played a big game ever after that and neither did any of my mates that were there.
I hear Kennys Revenge was totally different to my experience of Big Games so maybe I'll try another one
Oh and I left the S2002 at Scunny with a HUGE smile on my face. We didn't win and I got nominated for Prat of the Day
, (which I apparently won!), But it was such a good day I didn't care.
Everyone around me seemed to have a good day too. Even the weather smiled.
So not all rec-ball is good and not all tourney-ball is bad.
Oh and TL, alcohol kills brain cells...I should know I've got very few left.
Now where's that JD & coke
