Yeah, welcome back, read the article in PGI bout Nexus and it seems that you have the makings of a potentially great team (not meaning to hijack the thread, sorry:D :D ).

As a main issue, who would be the top 8 Euro pro sides??

In NO ORDER

1. Ugly Ducklings
2. Russian Legion
3. Ton Tons
4. Joy Division
5. Shockwave
6. Tigers
7. ?????
8. ?????

Any help would be appreciated. I would have had Backlash on there but they dropped to Am........right....???

p.s Robbo--> i thought we were getting some posters in the latest edition of PGI??:( :( i wanted to brighten up my walls at Uni!!!!

Mr. TJ Lambini

This obviously means that the top US pro teams will no longer be playing the Millennium series doesnt it??? will the Ams be playing any Xball??

Mother, is that you?
My masters, are you mad?

Hold on.

I thought X-ball couldn't work without tv - ie as a tourny format it wasn't economically viable. So, I understand the US model, but what the **** does Europe add up to?

Is Lauren (and probs Niall) into this cos they can make a wedge, or for the Cow's long dollar? And why don't they wait - no one else is capable of pulling this off in Euroland, what's the rush?

And now TJ's telling us we have to get the format right in Europe FIRST, and then the tv will come in. Are you bleedin' kidding? Put down that bleedin spliff.

And Robbo's telling us that you can create the same revenue by palying three-day games on ten fields? Put down that bleedin spliff.

And **** me, what's this with Abacus Bera-Bacas putting income before ideals. Put down that bleedin spliff.

Are you all round TJ's house?

Buying out Richmond and Ed then running some junior league X-ball alongside Pro X-ball? Don't see it.
There's still a market for 10-man events, it's what PSP was built on and wasn't Jerry resisting this X-ball biz all along?
Seems like it would make more sense to hedge their bets by offering the same product they always have particularly as NPPL will be 7-man.

Hey, Teej! Kareem's putting Jello in the hot tub again.

NPPL 7-Man League is a go-er, but with WDP sponsoring it - they are not going with X-Ball as was previously mooted.
It is good that the U.S. will adopt this format. This will give some of the teams that can't field 10 man teams a chance to get some more tourneys in. I personally think 7 man is the best format.

X happens at Millennium it won't impact on revenue...Laurent can still run 120 7-man teams at Toulouse, but in addition to that tha 8 Euro X-Ball teams - and any US X teams - would play amongst themselves alongside tha tournament. They'd all pay tha same entry fee so tha organiser loses nothing...

Plus you'd still have the potential for regular 7-Man teams from the new look NPPL to travel over and play the standard tournament.

It's all up in tha air but as Robo sez, it is potentially viable.

Euro-X

Robbo, is it true that you had a meeting concerning Euro-X at the WC?
How did it go? What are the plans? Also, would this league work in the same way as in tha states, with teams buying a franchise for appr $200K??? Who would afford that???

On another note, I believe the 8 euroteams should be:
Ducklings
The Russkies
Tonton
Joy
Shockwave
Ignition
Enemy
Tigers

Those are the teams that have proven themselves strong over the last year…
My two cents…
