So why the hell is it incumbent on me to act against the interests of my team ???
I know why you wanted the round robin style but at least I had the balls to say I was acting in the interests of my team and not wrap it up in .....'it's best for paintball in the long term'......

Peace Nick, Peace...

PS Nick, make sure you buy next month's PGI, I think it mentions you somewhere :)

PPS Don't be too worried mate, I think somebody once said, 'Any publicity is good publicity'.

PPPS Come to think of it, the man who said that must have been an idiot.....be worried :)

What are they? Citizens of Luxembourg? :p

Oh' I must have forgot, nationality doesn't matter, minus the fact THAT YOU HAVE TO EUROPEAN. Which is why you don't see too many using this argument!

You were to one that started the whole debate about double elimination, because you were unhappy about it.... you advocated using another system, because double elimination would be bad for Euro paintball !

- And then you end up voting for it, with absolutely no new information coming forth !

And you see hypocracy on MY part ??????

Fair enough..... let's stop debating this then

Nick
How magnanimous of you to offer ending the debate just after you have had the last say !!!!

When you asked me over the fone why I had changed my mind, I told you straight out, I am electing to go for the DE system because I was doing what I believed to be the best for Nexus, that sounds very much like 'new information' to me !!!

In the end, I doubt I am gonna lose too much sleep over this one as everybody seems to have voted on the basis for what they perceive to be for their own best interests, it's just that some have been more honest about why they voted in the way they did.
Peace Nick and I'll see you in the middle :)

mag-what? please try to keep long words off the forums. We don't use them in PGI, so there's no reason for them to appear here.

Reasons..

Dynasty just showed why a divisional system like you propose Nick would have been a negative thing. They started of losing against Dogs. Then after going thru the loser brackets and play much better reach the final and actuelly win.
What if they had used your system and Dogs went on and won the rest of the games in the division? Dynasty would have had no chance to win, right?

Hey Mag, as is painfully obvious, both formats have ther merits and demerits with nothing to choose between them, what becomes the deciding factor is how you view the chances of your own team.
If one feels their team is in the top four, then they should vote for the DE , if they feel they are not, then they would vote round robin.
It comes down to that mate, no matter what dressing Nick likes to garnish it all with :)
