I dont really know what the rules are re registration of Coaches.

If he has an Assassins card and is registered to them then no

But

If he hasnt then y not? Its not like hes actually playing.

ps Goose - thats good but you have to try and get something over in the new minimalist format

C'mon, all this talk about professionalizing stuff - how is it professional that tha coach of one team can suddenly drop down a bracket and coach another team when they get into tha finals?

But then how professional is a sport that has its best team playing in what is to all intents an purposes division 2?

Tha Alex thang I can see - cos if NYX played Joy then Alex would have to play Alex and then you'd have that whole spatio-temporal disturbance thing going down and the universe would be rent assunder - and that **** is good for no-one.

I think what's probably bugging Magued is tha lack of consistency about enforcement of pretty much any rules in pball...

I totally agree with you TJ.

The head says that the coach should stay with one team too.

If Mag is cheesed off about inconsistencies then testing them like this isnt the way forward.

We all have to be bigger than that and start adhering to the 'spirit' as well as the letter of the laws.

Until the day that we have the right set ip that is - then we can ban and fine em:)

TJ - while definately not kosher... Big Bob dropping down to coach a "2nd division (yeah right)" team is not the same as the Alex situation.

Dynasty the Dogs & Oakland don't play in the same league - so no conflict. If Bob went to coach another NXL team then there would be one. Kind of like an NFL Coach who helps his sons college team (even if that college team could play in the NFL ;))

But any player who wants to play both should not be allowed - just like other sports. We can always look back and say "well it was done like this last year" - but that doesn't help the future.

Now about Dynasty playing div 1 X-Ball.... well we all know that there is one we can chalk up to paintball politics - and one has to wonder that now that they are signed with SP - will an NXL spot be farr behind???

Then we should stop ANY players guesting with other teams.
In the millenniums series you can play in a different team at each event. And what about if you play with syndicate at campaign and then in Portugal when your back with Ducklings have a game against Syndicate? Is it a problem? I think not.
I can understand the need of restrictions, but lets then be consistant about this and not just use this when it fitts us.

Ignore the Maestro on this one as he is grossly mischaracterizing that situation. Bob in no way, shape or form "coached" the Dogs as coaching is ennumerated in Xball. He was on their sideline and did have some things to say and/or suggest. So what? So did a few hundred other people, mostly on Dynasty's behalf.

You want the whole skinny wait for the upcoming coverage in a PGi soon to arrive on your doorstep. Your humble modera8or will fill you in.

Magued - speak it brotha - speak it....

I think that "guesting" should stop 100% - sure players should be allowed to transfer teams for legitimate reasons, but also a limited (say 1 every 365 day period) transfers.

The only 2 exceptions I can think of should be for players whose team stops playing and/or rookie players who are trying to find a game so they can get better.

You have a seat at the Millennium table - change the rule.

As far as me playing a game against Syndicate in at the next millennium - well first it won't happen, because they are not playing EXL, second it is not the same thing at all - it was a one time thing, I won't be jumping back & forth.

The proper comparison would be if Syndicate Instinct had to play the Ducklings at Campaign - what would Nick & I have done - and thank god that question never came up - because to be honest it would have been a mess, I probably would have had to sit myself :).

Lastly - the EXL & NXL are supposed to be special - therefore they have different rules. If that means that we are held to a higher standard of rules then so be it - that is the price we have to pay for being the top league. NFL, NBA, NHL, Champions League, MLB etc etc etc all have their own rules for governing their players that differ from the lesser divisions - such is big time sports....

**** this serious sport ****, he wants to play with his mates. This has nothing to do with "guesting." You're all classified as 'Pros'...aren't you? It sounds to me like Alex is a real paintballer, he wants to play paintball; be it NXL, EXL, XLAS, OXSL, LXXJK, LDAX, whatever you want to call it.

There is no price to pay for being the top league...if you aren't the top league.
