A head marshal even turned round to my captain and admitted he didn’t know the rules to a specific case we where appealing against and said he left his rulebook in the hotel!
At least, he had a rulebook. No one else seemed to have one (save a 5.2, of course).

Some of the rules were so ridiculous its not even funny! No stickers on goggles as they may give you an advantage with getting bounces from them, you having a laugh? Or you can peel the sticker off in a game and lose the hit? Ok then ill sit there for 20 minutes trying to get the fookers off (that’s how long it took me to get some of the stickers off my goggles and hopper) Might as well turn up in a suit and tie at Bitberg, will save a lot of grief.
You read the rules. You should have known that you were not allowed to have stickers on the goggles. I personally don't think stickers on goggles are that bad.

I think a lot of the marshals were on power trips, looking to give out 141’s rather than doing their job. I saw some players getting 141d before they even made their primary on the break yet on other fields no penalties were given to players with hits in self check areas still playing. Because the marshalling was so inconsistent it was crap, the 141 rules is good if you have the marshal to enforce it, which the Millennium Series don’t! A head marshal even turned round to my captain and admitted he didn’t know the rules to a specific case we where appealing against and said he left his rulebook in the hotel! If this is what the millennium series have in store for us then god help us for the rest of the year. I even saw some very harsh 141 calls on the M5 field against some little kids, no need for it!
Don't know if you can say that Marshals have been on a power trip. Most of us have marshaled as we have been told too. How can I call a 1-4-1 different because it is a little kid? He is a player end off.

The point about players being 141d before completing their move and having had a chance to check themselves stands however..... you cannot expect a player to stop in the middle of nowhere and check himself :)

But, as mentioned in my initial post, I have confidence in Ulrich having sorted this out for Bitburg.

Excuse me... can you tell me where in the rules is that? Or do you imply that stickers in the goggles are a modification as per rule 10.02?

10.02 Players, officials and all on field must wear full-face protection as it comes from the manufacturer in its original form. The face or ear protection of goggle systems will not be allowed to be turned or twisted upward or in anyway modified from their original form at any time or place where goggles are required.
If that's the case, did you requiere photographers or other media and marshalls to take stickers off their goggles?

Unless, of course, you're talking about the proverbial new rulebook we players are not to see. The only difference that we were informed in the captain meeting was the 1-4-1 rule and that there were "some minor rule changes" that they never bothered to tell.

i know how to make it easyer for the reff,s everyone has to use the same colour marker,s
same pots and hopper,s
also how hard is it for reff,s during the coin toss to ask what colour paint each team is useing
saves being called out on paint thats from bunker,s

Si...there was deffo no stickers allowed on goggles from day one! I made everyone take their stickers off. Felt real bad as one team must have spend some money to get theirs done.
it was probably Kellys, we asked Ulrich why? and he said "stickers make paintballs bounce" haha

it was probably in the rules bout stickers in the first place but mask modifications seem to be allowed (cut down ear protection on flex 7s and stuff) and thats against the rules so all of us turned up with full ear protection even tho we didnt have to use it and turned up with stickers all over the show and had to take it all off,

i hate how organizers expect you to all wear your gear like you have only just purchased the items from the shop

No, wasn't the Kellys! Some team did even put more effort in their stickers. Poor biatches.

Mods on goggles and be dangerours. I had one tool on the pitch with 5cm spikes on his JTs!

When it comes to stickers on the masks, i beleive it`s to do the refs job easier.
Some stickers could look like a hit/paint on a distance, and will in some situations maybe make their job harder.
If i dont remember wrong, this is the same problem that happened with stickers on the hopper a while ago.

I can see the positive thing when it comes to make the sponsors happy, but more often it`s to bee as cool as possible on the field ;)

Play ball, and don`t put so much effort into looking like A Gay Guy!!:D

Some more:
Most of us talk of making paintball to a sport, and if we compare us to most common sports, we could take soccer & dressing code: You don`t see many players wearing stuff that make`m look different than their teammates. It`s because there`s a ruling for it! Like socks pulled up, uniform the same way etc.
In American Football you have to tuck in your shirt etc.

We have some of the same rules, but it seems like they are to prevent from getting bounces, like no wristbands, scarfs, shirt tucked in under our pack etc.

I know people like to stick out on the field by looking AGG, and the way they can do that now is all the different head styles we see, and that is probably ok.

In my opinion its better that it looks like a team out on the field, with same uniforms, and not like a whole bunch of "christmas trees" and i also beleive that spectactors outside the inner circle will have a more professional view on the teams if they look "like a team"
And your sponsors will probably appreciate if you look professional.

That was more like a dollar than 2 cents.... And just my opinion!
