Great day, again.
I do have a message for the Chronograph marshal on field three......
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
I heard loads of people moaning about him.
Rules are rules...... for the benfit of those that don't have a copy, here's the rule in question, taken from the Paintball Association Rule Book (Dartford 7's Edition):
The gun must be capable of firing only a single shot for each cycle of the trigger. A cycle is defined as the movement of the trigger from its fully forward most position to its full rear most position then releasing it so that it moves forward until it once again rests in the fully forward position.
Each cycle of the trigger must be as a direct result of a conscious action by the player in that a player must pull and release the trigger for each shot fired. Trigger mechanisms that assist and can therefore override the conscious action of a player are prohibited.
Triggers which have been set for excessively short pull which exhibit the ability to fire due to vibration or movement of the gun without physical contact of the trigger are also prohibited and will be classed as “unsafe for use”.
A referee may use any reasonable and practical means of assessing the operation of a trigger to detect fully automatic, burst and Turbo modes of firing, for assisted trigger systems and for unsafe characteristics.
Note 12: If a referee is in any way unsatisfied with the trigger operation of a gun he may at his discretion refuse to allow that marker on to the pitch and refer it to the Tournament Technical Referee
Only down side was that all fields were not employing this rule. Trigger Bounce is Tournament Illegal and is, therefore, against the rules.
