Hi Scutty

Nylon - its been in the rules for the last couple of years and, when taken in the context of the rules relating to slick materials, clearly does not refer to weaved nylon that is used in virtually ever paintball clothing product made. It is deisgned to stop people wearing nylon waterproof rain slicker type clothing. Same as NPPL rules
Ok - it just doesn't specify that a particular type of nylon is meant of excempt :) (don't care about the NNPL rules - we can do better ;))

Not sure where you are getting the padded pants part from?
It says pants cannot be of a highly padded nature.... which several brands out there are?

Neoprene is recognised to offer protection without decreasing the chances of paint breaking (and is not a great big agg hanky round your neck because you want to look like a cowboy.) Which is the same in NPPL and PSP.
We can do better that both the PSP and NPPL.... why limit legal neck protection to one type of fabric - but not limit any other outer equipment to the same fabric? - why can't a player wear a rolled up piece of cloth if he wants - when the same material is ok for the rest of the uniform?

Pink in stickers - good point. I thought that had been removed. Will speak to the committee about that one.
Ok

The penalty for deliberatly shooting a ref is ejection from the site (rule 39.04)
I read 29-06 - many of those points should clearly be punishable by more than just elimination..... missed the "additional penalties may apply" bit though.... still think some of the examples of unsportsmanlike conduct do not belong in a section that refers to single elimination being the penalty!

Thanks again, maybe you should stand for the Players' Committee and join us of the Rules Committee?
Not a chance in hell - as long as the players committee is just a bunch of players making "suggestions" - but have no REAL influence.... ;)

BTW - please send me an email on nick.brockdorff@copenhagenducks.com
- want to talk to you about something else ;)

Nick

NICK FOR PRESIDENT!!!

.......of the Players' Commitee anyway!!!

You're one of the best men for the job imo. Why wouldn't you do it? You're always up to date on everything, you know your stuff & you're hugely respected by the players. Perfect candidate in my book. I bet they'd even let you choose the other members!!!:D :D :D

so what?
No, the rules state that no equipment specifically permitted is not allowed. Shoes (of any type) are not specifically permitted anywhere in the rules.

OK, so that's just nitpicking, but how about squeegees? Never mentioned, thus prohibited.

(I'm slightly baffled by the two layers of clothing consisting of underpants and a t-shirt, as well - seems a bit underdressed for paintball.)

As increasing amounts of money is at stake in paintball, it really pays to ensure that the rules in force are watertight - it won't be long before the richer teams have lawyers picking through the rules with fine-toothed combs (e.g. Doc's Raiders at HB.)

First, the usual disclaimer: English is not my primary language, so I might be missunderstanding obvious things :)

Rule 6.01 says teams will play within their division. Rule 6.03 says teams outside supapro will play interdivisional games too. What's happening?

8.01 vs 7.08: Can the Head Referee put a player called out back into game? How is that signalled to the other team?

13.01: What is "next to orange"? yellow? red? brownish? :p

Jota

6.01 says team will play 8 games against the teams defined (i.e. below in 6.03)

8.01 v 7.08 - No player can be re-enstated in the game. Rule 7.08 relates to the authority of the Head Field Judge over normal filed judges and 8.01 defines the way a judge eliminates a player.

Yep, there is a mistake in 13.01, ith should read 'includes orange equipment...'

6.01: Seven player teams will play eight preliminary round games. Such games will be played against teams within the defined division of such team.
I understand that "within" means "inside" (more or less), so team X will be playing against teams on its division.

8.01 vs 7.08: then the Head Judge cannot change any call, if he or she cannot reinstate a player to the game.

8.01 Eliminated – Referee will signal when a player is eliminated by putting one hand on his head and pointing on the eliminated player. The referee will then pull the players armband. The referee cannot put a player back in after calling player eliminated with a hand signal.

Seems very straight forward to me. ;)

The role of the Head Referee is defined in 7.08 and has ultimate control of that field. However, no referree can re-instate an eliminated player even if they realise it was an incorrect call later(as stated in 8.01).
