Well after all the effort making sure the rules were right first time, it appears that players are not allowed to wear shoes.

Hmm... comments on the new rules:

Apparently we'll all be buying new pants this year - as most paintball pants are made from (or include) Nylon - which is now no longer legal???

Padded pants (such as the ones JT and DYE make) - are apparently no longer legal aither??

I find it extremely weird that the MS is still limiting head and neck protection.... but I guess that will change the first time a player is seriously hurt? - The NPPL has wisely made the change of allowing as much protection as players want to those areas.

I wonder why Neoprene is the ONLY acceptable neck protection?

Why on earth are pink stickers illegal, when pink paint is not allowed?

With all the paint refs can shoot pre game, I think the venue layout should include a fill station for top off of air at each field.

I think many of the offences covered under "unsportsmanlike conduct" should be punishable by MUCH more than just straight elimination!!

(For instance - a team at HB got 6 matches suspension for the player doing it and -100 (100 = a max) for deliberately and maliciously shooting a ref.... in the MS rules, I can shot the crap out of a ref deliberately and just get eliminated - apparently???)

Anyone on the rules committee care to comment??

Hey Nick,

Thanks for the feedback. Just a couple of things that leap to mind:

Nylon - its been in the rules for the last couple of years and, when taken in the context of the rules relating to slick materials, clearly does not refer to weaved nylon that is used in virtually ever paintball clothing product made. It is deisgned to stop people wearing nylon waterproof rain slicker type clothing. Same as NPPL rules

Not sure where you are getting the padded pants part from?

Neoprene is recognised to offer protection without decreasing the chances of paint breaking (and is not a great big agg hanky round your neck because you want to look like a cowboy.) Which is the same in NPPL and PSP.

Pink in stickers - good point. I thought that had been removed. Will speak to the committee about that one.

The penalty for deliberatly shooting a ref is ejection from the site (rule 39.04)

Thanks again, maybe you should stand for the Players' Committee and join us of the Rules Committee?

They're definately banned

Only spikes made from carrots (or similar root vegetables such as parsnip) will be permitted.
As I'm originally from North Norfolk I find screw in studs made from sprouts quite usefull (and cheap too).

These are also nppl legal as they have never seen them before.
