i also only see paintball companies sponsoring teams why not get some outside sponsors ? get sum pennies behind the team rather than cheeper paint and 20% of playing gear that if you buy bulk youget anyway ?
Well blow me down and call me Shirley!! Why has no-one ever thought of this before.

i have gramar issues. sorry ?
Just to be clear. Are you claiming to be dyslexic - yes or no?

however on my defence. i cant prove site are or aint doing more business. but even if sum are there is still alot of site closing. but this thread is supposed to be about paintball in general not just tournaments. ?
You can't huh, while I can and have, and yet I'm 'wrong'?
everything i know and the people i know tend to say cheeper would get them back. ?
Anecdotal 'evidence' (at best). Too weak to discuss.
i have friends who work for minimum wage and still find time to play twice a month. increase prices and there playing once. increase to far and your loosing a whole lot of players. ?
They are playing once, yes, which is fine, as they are spending the same amount of money for half the overhead - you know this of course, because you're a financial advisor, right?
if you take tournaments people cant afford to enter these. ive read on more than one forum that it costs to much. entry, paint, travel etc etc. if these costs were reduced would you or would you not see more teams wanting in ? ?
Anecdotal again, and worse - 'forum anecdotal'. Please tell me it wasn't Dunayshun!! So weak....

again if equipment cost less wouldnt more new players consider buying there own ? ?
If we sold twice the guns for half as much, wouldn't we make the same amount but be working twice as hard? And besides, you can get geared up for $200 (100 quid) - how cheap do you want it?

away from my origianal point but

i also only see paintball companies sponsoring teams why not get some outside sponsors ? get sum pennies behind the team rather than cheeper paint and 20% of playing gear that if you buy bulk youget anyway ?

outside people would sponsor anything you convince them is worth while.

i recently aproched 2 companies. one i will name. one i will not

the one i will name is http://www.oilandgaspeople.com/

there family thats why. they offered top range shirts and entry fees.

i also aproched a companie who offered travel arangments

if every team had free travel and free entry wouldnt that make more teams want to enter?

my only problem is were woodsball and i cant find any huge woodsball tourneys.

am trying to keep up with this thread so sorry for editing posts.

no am not dyslexic. its recently been unclassed as an illness anyway. i always get told am to lazy to put a sentance togther. i feel i just dont undertsand all the . , : ; etc. and spelling is confusing. there scottish english and american. ive been told them all. and to add to the mix they tried to learn me french, german and lithuanian.

you have told me without proof that 1 site is doing better. while i have said that one site has recently closed.
ive also double checked and its £160 per box they charged wih £50 entry

my friends play every 2 weeks with me. the prices let me go crazy with paint. am happy to fire away 2-4k balls a day. if they cost more my skills would need to improve lol.

there is alot of people saying there is fewer teams and teams folding. not one sorce altho i do not no who Dunayshun!! is.

am not sure if the Oh no is just dont go there or as in no. however i didnt say only paintball did but that i only see it. still new here so probably wrong on that. ive also not looked into paintball anywhere but UK and even then its mostly scotland.

one last thingaltho unrelated the exchange rate from us to uk is at around 1.6 us to £1 not 2-1

One last thing DJ, if you care to take a look at Thib's post and also Buddha's, you will notice their use of English [Esp Buddha's] is exceptionally good ... which is kinda surprising since Thib is French and Buddha is Dutch .... and now take a look at your own use of your mother tongue DJ ... I'd be fackin ashamed of myself mate, truly ashamed.

Is 50£ entry and 160£ a box for non-rental player (even if it were it would be damn expensive) ?
Most price aren't like this at all !!!

I'm happy you found some sponsors.
Do you know them ? How did you get stuff from them ? :)
Have a go and tell us if they will still be there next year (I'm sorry, but I did see outside paintball sponsor, and we all know why, they didn't sign for a 2nd year; what we could offer didn't worth what they were paying ...)

those prices are for a site that went bust proving my point on costs.

outside sponsors can get alot more than you think. for example. a tour company getting there name on team shirts and offer good prices is sure to see people using them to get to events.
a recrutment site always needs its name plastered everywhere to get new customers.
a local pub might sponsor a local team just to get you drinking there after games.

in aberdeen were lucky to have huge oil companies with tomuch money. work for one of them and gettings ponsor is easy.
