I personally love having the time off to see family and friends from home. Not to mention the awesome presents, food and booze.

I love Christmas, time to kick back, forget about work and enjoy lazy days with family and friends. Extra special for me this year as it'll be my son's first Christmas (will be almost 5 months old by then).

theres plenty of bank holidays and other such things throughout the year.

many of which are based on the same christian beliefs that you just called false. So it's safe to assume you'll be working all bank holidays from now on?

i dont understand how anyone can "hate" christmas.

i personaly hate all religons and everything each stands for.
however i cannot and will not hate any time of year that actualy encourages us to be nice. get together with friends and familys sum of which we might only see once or twice a year. pass around a few funny and thoughtfull gifts, have a meal so large the left over last 3 months then to top it of get very happy on a few to many glasses of wine and watch granny sing along to the classics on the piano.
and thats just the basics of it.
were not forgetting the cold nights cuddles up on the sofa watching old movies and eating pop corn
The children all being extra nice so santa comes. and then the look and excitment from them on the big day
all the extra excusses to have a night out and throw parties.
The days of work due to "having a cold" when you realy just want to get the shop while there less busy.
a few lonley junkies might be found in the new year hanging from a door frame due to how lonley they got.


i Just love Christmas. to me its a little like the movie love actualy. everything just works out.

and on the advertising side. yes sum companies do milk it.

however these are 2 i love
