To redeem myself from my previous piss poor thread.
I was just having a talk with me mother, she is a classroom assisstant at a primary school and specializes in helping kids with disablities (i know there is a job title but it doesnt pop to mind).
She has spent 2 years looking after a boy with pretty severe autism and he has finally got a place at a school specialized for his needs.
Should kids be put in schools like these. I mean in my opinion theres two things you should gain from school, an education and how to interact with people around you, with the latter being the more important.
My question is should these kids be in these schools?
When theyre only going to be interacting with their teachers and other disabled kids
(i do understand that there are kids that conditions are too severe to be in normal schools)
