I know a few milsim dudes too and they are cool. I just cant see what they find interesting about the whole thing. Didnt we leave camo years ago. ?

oh yes over 1 million people play paintball in the UK a year but the 200 or so who play supair are the ones who do it properly without camo

i think what's telling about this is the actual list of companies itself.

if it was a move against all milsim markers (or even just the HK styled ones) then there'd be a heck of a lot more. as it is in fact only a handful of companies out of the many that produce HK styled markers, then i think it is really just down to a move to block unlicensed use of the HK styling.

I just dont get the whole scenario recreating the storming of the beaches at Normandy and saluting each other thing hence my comment.

When in doubt, sue someone. Just ask Smart Parts and WDP.

As for the different styles of paintball - well, that is what makes it such a great sport.

Anyone can play it, at whatever level they like.

a, I allowed to say good riddance to milsim markers and players or will that upset people? They give the game a bad name. If you want military simulation why dont you join the army or the territorials at least?
I agree. And with such beautiful products released by the likes of Planet and Dye why would you want to run around looking like a failed member of a spetsnatz unit.

Agreeing with Bambulus not Gassy. And i never said anything about behaviour just image

Personally I think milsim markers should have the orange barrel tip like airsoft guns now do. It never really occurred to me that people may mistake a paintball gun for a real one even with the hopper etc. until (bare with me) I watched Dog the Bounty Hunter the other day.
If anyone else watches it, they would know he doesn't approve of the use of guns, however, he does sometimes have a tippman A5, with a few attachments like a stock, which to members of the public, looks just like another gun.
If paintball does keep heading in the direction of having a governing body, a single set of rules and all that, then these realistic looking markers are going to have to have something to differentiate them.

Thats up to you if you dont get it or understand it and because of that reason you cant diss it either. Your entitled to your opinion, valid or not, but dont get into a discussion that you know nothing about.

Orange tips are only a requirement in America, not in the UK, and it wouldn't make much difference anyway, considering it's illegal to walk around the streets with an air rifle/Replica. You're only allowed to transport it in a case.

And what's being called to issue in the law suits is the fact that those companies are using trademarks and designs without permission, NOT that they're realistic and scary looking. So I don't really agree that they should have something to brand them as a marker, I think it's unecessary regulation when there isn;t really an issue to be solved.

im pretty sure they dont get you with your futuristic looking ball firing zapper on a football pitch with inflatables or what you would find interesting about it either.

im also a supair baller by the way.

it is however what they personally find interesting to do, you like supair they like woods and camo. some people enjoy running around a tiny arena shooting red lights at each other and hitting bases for points.

Differant people like differant things.

i dont realy agree with companies ripping off designs without any permission, but i think designs should be reconstructed and new ones made to keep paintball on that type of plain because normally in the woods a punter will see someone playing with them with one of these guns and think to themselves wow thats cool, i think i might go and check out paintball a little bit more and then maybee in the process stumble across a website or videos for supair and spark an interest for that.

I mean come on we all started in the woods at some point.
