Buddah is absolutely right, without the rec ball market there is no tournament ball on the scale you have now (and let's face it, that scale aint all that). Paint would cost a fortune for a start. You can feel superior to rec ballers all you like, but the bottom line is they are the ones who really feed paintball and enable you to play the style of paintball you enjoy, not mooching tournament ballers.

Companies like Tippmann getting sued cannot be a good thing for paintball, especially by monster firms like HK who have few financial pressures to force them to reconsider arbitration or settlement. With customers like the US Gov. they will be able to take it as far as they like...

Id like to think i know a little bit about balling having done it for twenty years. My point is not biased about sup air at all as playing in the woods is great fun. My comment was based around military simulation markers and scenario based p ball potentially giving the game a bad name. Certainly all the non paintballers I talk to seem to think it does. I realise that the rec ball market is vital to the future of the sport and that not everyone wants to play on inflatable playgrounds. I play in the woods as well as air ball fields, and yes I have tried scenario and big games so feel slightly placed to comment. I may be wrong and am happy to continue this discussion I obviously know nothing about with you but in my eyes I dont think running around the place with replica firearms ( and that is what milsim markers are) is a good image...period!

By the way, I think that if HK wins this case, C. G. Haenel Waffen und Fahrradfabrik should sue the crap out of Kalashnikov.
Would probably go OK until the FSB and their ricin laced umbrella darts came out to play!

Having been to large scenario games, and tournaments, I can say for certain that the milsim boys are nicer, fairer, more honest, and far better behaved than the spoilt speedball punks. They also make up over 85% of Paintball's revenue. I wishn there could be separation, so the tournament guys could only receive 15% of the games promotional dollars, and the other 85% could go to the people that actually earned it.

Some of the posts on here are akin to hearing that Becks spat on some kid that asked for his autograph. There would be an outcry in the press, with everyone saying:
"its kids like this one that pay your wages and made you what you are", and "you've forgotten where you came from".

Players should thank the lord that there are scenario players around. if there weren't the industry would be in a mess, and to see people dis them like this is pretty disgusting. If I was asked to play a big game, and a tournament, and they were on the same weekend, it would take me less than a second to make up my mind. I spend enough time around abusive spoilt-brat premadonna kids with fxcked up values and warped entitlement issues in the ghetto, without spending my weekends with them.
Don't get me wrong, they are the minority, but they're still there.

They're proabably on another forum asking the same thing about you? Why the hell would you want to run around on grass in front of inflatable things...?

Its all about the fantasy.

i run around the airball feild trying to look all cool, yet i will still go and play big games. i was up at black hawk down at spc the other week very milsim i was standing around with my tourny gun and my tampabay damage jersey and white i3s not very milsim i was playing for the tipman taem they all welcomed me and where happy for me to play with them the two styles mixed well i used a few of there techniques and they used some of the tourny style ones.

i have a few mates that play milsim and design there own markers to look like the real thing and yet they still have ego's and marqs no offence mate but we are all paintballers and i bet when about 80% of us started we all looked and went oooooo at tipmans and bt's markers because they looked real. its the select few ballers like you timmy that annoy the hell out of me because your trying to say one is better than the other why do you care get on with it play what you want go out and have fun and kick some ass thats what its about is playing ball, not what type of ball.
