Is this then end of milsim markers

Taking paintball and compartmentalizing it to the point of putting one aspect above another by denigrating the one you don't like is short sighted and foolhardy. It's that type of mentality that divides and ultimately weakens paintballers as a community. More and more of us are crossing over and playing both speedball and woodsball. For many of the top tourney pros, their introduction to paintball took place on a woodsball field.

If Germany wants to be able to continue to play paintball they can't have this divisive attitude.

If any of us want to continue to play in a world that is becoming progressively anti-gun then we can't have this divisive attitude.

Bottomline, our markers launch projectiles from "barrels" which can severely injure and to many folks, whether we wear bright colored jerseys or MARPAT, CADPAT or Tigerstripe, etc. we are shooting guns and they won't like it and will seek to regulate it to the point it loses much of its core group or ban it. Period.

just out of curiosity/ if the milsim markers were to be restricted, what would woodsballers do? I ask as i'm also looking into woodsball for this "campaign" im working on.

would players not sort of just return to site marker + mods type thing rather than all out made to look like something?

just curious is all.

if "milsim" style markers were restricted then it won't really hit "woodsball" overly much.

after all proper milsim is only a part of the over all game in the woods.

and the two aren't necessarily the same thing. i don't see any one who is in love with the actual sport stopping cause they have to change marker. the fact they might be struggling to finance a change in gat may be a different story.

I don't like the Bt and tippman markers with the body kits on them that make them look like real guns because if they had not gone over the top with the kits the governments wouldn't notice them as much so milsim players wouldn't be getting all the negative views. I personally like scenario games because i have never tried the supair type of paintball but woodsball still gives me the adrenalin rush and you are more careful because you don't know if your'e being targeted but i can see how supair is fun with all the diving around and that.:D

The bottom line is that if you have something with a grip trigger and barrel that shoots projectiles the general public will see it as a weapon ans that its dangerous, this is why paintball isn't really televised in the UK, but if it was and the general public knew that it was a safe, fun, recreational sport in milsim and supair they would accept it and maby more people would join the paintball community it be better for everyone paintballers, the public and governments and maby become premoted as a good sprt to get people out of the house and too get them fit especially as the Uk and America are becoming fatter and fatter.

Tv and paintball probably won't ever work well.

Simply put the concept is difficult for the masses to figure out, the action is very confusing and there is no clear focus.

In that i mean in most team sports the action is revolving around a central object, ball in football and rugby for example. Having 10 guys running at each other is chaotic by comparison.

You can not see the pesky paint flying around to in most shots!

One of the best attempts was the Smart Parts World Championships on ESPN.

It was a very good series that had clear aims to target a wide audience and explain what was going on. The end of point explanations of who made the moves and the shots that were taken really helped.

I agree. Even if it's bright pink it still has the basic silhouette of gun and that is what people are afraid of. Besides, I've known someone had a visit from the police because a member of the public brought in a millenium baby and mistakenly thought it was a fetus. If people are stupid enough to think that, then paintball has no chance.

But we don't have much to worry about. Airsoft laid down the groundworks for paintball should paintball ever need laws written for it. So we'll be safe for a good time! Keep an eye on airsoft however, because if they go then it's a certainty that paintball will fade not long after.
