Tournament rule

Its basicaly pay 12.50 for the coverage or dont play. Pretty simple I think. Saves the organizers hassel over claims of personal negligence by the players. Not much for added coverage for players. About time someone made this a rule.

Disclaimer

I think this is added cover for you personnaly. Say you blow your bottle up and someone else is injured you are still at fault and this would cover that. I could be wrong but I think thats what this is for.

If you enter a field of play then you must now have insurance - which will mean refs - photographers, players and possibly ancillary cleaning staff, but you only buy it once.
Cover currently is only for UK Sanctioned events so non uk events no, nspl, nspa, superleague, D7s currently no, campaign cup unknown.

I checked with my household and my DJ insurance companies and neither of them will cover me in any way shape or form whilst playing paintball due to the use of a firearm, even though it is an air weapon.

im pretty sure that disclaimers in the uk dont actually mean a lot as im sure (no doubt will tell me if im wrong) your not actually allowed so sign away your legal rights. Or something like that anyway someone can probably word it better.

Once you have cover, it will be valid in whatever capacity you attend a sanctioned event, player or ref or indeed as a spectator.

It at present will not cover you for any events abroad but Bully is enquiring if we could offer an upgraded policy that would meet those needs.
It is my understanding (please check I could be wrong) similar cover is included in any travel insurance.
I use these on a yearly worldwide policy and this covers me while I play/ref.
All the policies on this site have it included:

If you have it with your bank all the ones I know have personal liability cover as a norm.

ok ! so should we as player refuse to play non sanctioned events as our insurance wont be valid at there tourneys. if we as player are being told no pass no play. why are events allowed to continue without it

Completely off thread and with the risk it could go off at a huge tangent just to clarify the above point.

The Government say they are not firearms but toys.
