Email received... seems pretty reasonable.
44 % of the total entry fee for 2008 paid before the first event ? 100 % before the second event ?

Entry fee going up by 12 % ?

Well simply due to the fact that the Millennium will now have entry fees from 80 teams secured throughout the season, I would expect this year to be a magnificient one - bringing us no less than FANTASTIC events ! ;)

Wow... Just.... WOW!

Yesterday (edit: Saturday of course!) on the 5th of january at 18.38 SPL teams received a mail from the Millennium Board about the annual SPL meeting for the 2008 season - to be held on this coming sunday the 13th of january at 10.00 AM in Shiphol Airport, Amsterdam ?!

What are they thinking ??????

Less than 1 week to plan a trip to Holland ? This is even WORSE than last year, they really are getting their sh** together eh ?

Representing a team:
From each team only one representative will be allowed to the meeting. Only team representatives present at the meeting will be allowed to vote, if there is a ballot. Each representative has only one vote, transferring votes to other reps will not be possible. If you send a team representative, which is not yet registered as team contact, please announce his name in advance to me by email.

I guess i know what they are thinking;)

1. They think with this short notice, not many people will attend, and they can keep on treating their paying customers like ****..

2. And they don`t allow teams to have another representant there. That is probably their way of dealing with IPPU! (and of course not responding to e-mails!!)
And if you try to speak to them at events, their only answer is: Sorry, we can only speak & listen to team owners..

This is their way of running the business: "Do just what we want, and don`t listen to those stupid customers, as long as they pay us the money"
"Bring out as much money we can, before they (players) understand it!"

And as long as the teams don`t unite, and they don`t have any competition, they can keep on doing that:cool:

CENTURIO anyone:)

BTW: This is my personal opinion.

Ignitions opinion

Just to inform you all of Stockholm Ignitions opinion, I have posted the mail below which was today sent to the board of the Millennium Series...

Hello Ulrich, Stephen, Barry, Laurent and Nicola!
I have recieved your invitation to the CPL meeting. However Ignition will
not be able to attend due to your failure of informing us earlier. Yes,
you gave us the dates one year ago, but you also promised to confirm it 6
weeks prior to the meeting taking place. You failed to do so. And you can
NOT expect teams to book flights and hotels for a meeting which is not
confirmed. On top of that and this does not consider my team, but the new
teams have not heared the date from last year, so they only found out 7
days prior to the meeting. The fact that this very same thing happened
last year makes this look very unprofessional. I would like to make it
VERY clear that to my knowledge the board is not responsible for this, but
its Ulrich who have not been able to once again, like last year inform us
in time. I have been in contact with many teams over the year about the
mess last year and to be honest, and this is just constructive chritisism,
Ulrich should not be involved with communication to the teams simply
because he can not handle this. And I know Ulrich that your reading this
and it might be hard words, but I am the paying customer and I can not
shut up any more!
Further with the info youve sent the CPL teams, you expect us to pay €2000
before the 15 January. Once again, we (Ulrich and I) talked about this
last year and he agreed that informing teams about a big payment should be
made at least one month prior. Actually Laurent you and me talked about
this as well and you agreed. On top of this I find it VERY (once again
like last year) arrogant to let teams know we have to pay a big sum of
money within a week and then threaten us to lose our spot if we dont do
so. Me and my team have supported the Millennium Series since its
inception and we do not expect to be treated like this as we have always
treated the series with respect for what youve done for the sport. Also,
you wexpect us to pay that sum of money before the meeting has taken place
(we have to transfer it before the weekend for the money to get there in
time). And no contracts has been signed so what are we paying for?
Therefore I am informing you that we will not be able to pay any money
before we have seen and signed any contract.
Best regards/ Niklas Agréus Stockholm Ignition

All they have to do is register :D
Not exactly what I meant by "able"... But that´s a whole different subject NOT suitable for this thread! ;)

Aaaanyway - good to know a couple of teams/people have emailed the Millennium Board, and that the teams actually in fact agree on the fact that Millennium messed up (2nd year in a row) - perhaps that means better times for IPPU this year ? Let´s hope this all will bring something good along, and have more teams sign up AND respond to the IPPU.

FINGERS CROSSED !
