Promised to post this for my brother as he can´t do it himself - email sent to both the Millennium Board and the other SPL teams of IPPU:

Hi all

For your information, we have followed the lead of Stockholm Ignition, and today sent the following email to the Millennium Series, att. Paula Nicol, with copies for Barry Fuggle, Stephen Baldwin and Ulrich.

We strongly suggest you all do the same!

Best regards

Dear Paula

You sent us a request for remitting the 2008 license fee, apparently being 7,000.

We are quite surprised to receive this invoice, as we are yet to see the 2008 contract, and hope you understand it is entirely impossible for a serious business and sports organisation, to pay a license fee for something we have no contract for.... much less a contract proposal with an outline of your requirements.

As in any other business, we expect to have a contract between us and the Millennium Series that both parties can agree to and have signed, before the Millennium Series expect us to pay anything what so ever.

As such, we hereby give you notice, that the Ugly Ducklings Odense sports organisation, have every intention of entering into contract negotiations with the Millennium Series for 2008, in order to reach a mutually beneficial agreement - but until such agreement is reached, we are unfortunately unable to pay any part of a license fee we do not know what entails.

We hope you are able to get back to us asap with your contract proposal, as the season start is drawing near, and we look forward to again taking part in the Millennium Series SPL.

We look forward to your urgent news

Best regards

Nick Brockdorff

Very logical. Whether or not Ulrich passed the job down to somebody else is it not still his job to check that the job was done? That's usually the point of being boss.

So let me make sure I have this right................ IF (and its a big IF) Ulrich did pass the job onto someone else to do then you are saying it is not his job ever to check if that was carried out or not?

Also just so you know Ulrich is in charge of the teams, so it IS his job to inform the teams of what is going on.

My answer would be the same as to whether or not it is the millennium boards "job" to see to, that the "job" of informing the teams was carried out by who ever they passes on that assignment to! ;)

Put it this way - who ever is involved in this carries some sort of responsibility, no matter what their position is ! If you officially agrees to represent the millennium board, well then you receive the "praise" or take the "beat" - my humble oppinion !

May I add that all we the players AND the organizers want should be (and is!!) a series that attract and please the players and teams.... Happy players and teams makes better (and more!) business - and therefor happy organizers :)

Freddie,

I know Nick is unable to answer this himself but I am curious as to why he would write to Paula on this matter. As Paula deals with all team registrations and payments, just so you know.

Ulrich is in charge of the teams and on this matter he should write to him in the first case, I understand he wants to copyt people in but this is not Paula's department and she would just refer it back to Ulrich.
Wheather anyone likes it or not the buck stops with Ulrich on this one, he is to blame fo rnot letting the teams know in a timely fashion. Simple really.

Haven´t asked him BUT I can sort of guess why he wrote her - and copied the others - as this IS a matter of exactly that: Registrating & paying for this season ?!;)

No sorry, exact oposite

I can see my grammer was a bit confusing (mainly because I wasn't actually sure so it was more of a question.)

I ment that even if he did pass it to someone else to be done, it's still his job to enure that it WAS done.

Sorry about confusion.
