Expect entry to be a minimum of a grand per team, maybe as much as 1250. Forget about paying any less, its not going to happen.

Say you charge £2000 entry for the pro division and you let 4 teams play for free. That's £8000 'cost'. You haven't paid it out, but it's still a reduction in potential profit.

And yes, I must remember that Missy is really a she. sorry.
Oppurtunity cost...

And if the attraction of having say Dynasty/Joy/Russkies/Ironmen attracts more teams...paying anything between £500-£1000 depending on division or whatever, then it'll be worth it.

It obviously not gonna be the only reason these teams sign up, but it could jst push that difference between "hmmmm - maybe...i could be good" to "well even if we don't get through to the finals...we'll still be able to watch some of the best teams in the world go at it"

So i guess perhaps a cost worth having?

Definitely a cost worth having I'd say.

But someone has to pay for it and guess who it is? It's the rest of the teams. The organiser is still going to want to make a profit and if they spend a huge amount of time and effort putting something like this together, you can expect that they'd want that to be a sizeable profit.

You wouldnt want to pay £100 even if it was the event of the whole paintballing year?
IF

A brand new event...with no evidence, just the promoters (who's job it is to get you there) saying it's gonna be THE event of the year.

Nah...£100 a player tops - what happens if it all goes pear-shaped?

Gonna be a complete waste of £500 odd...

At least with the Millenniums, we know what to expect - they may not be amazing events...they might not be on the scale of the ones in the US...but they're still enjoyable and worth it at the end of the day, just about

Im not dissagreeing with you but whats the point in even putting an event on that would cost a grand per team if no-one is willing to pay it?
Who says no-one is?

If you've got a squad of 10+ players...i'm sure people could be persuaded.

We've only had about 4 people's views on this so far remember :D
And i'm a tight **** :p

Why?

You dont have to make a sizeable profit. not in my eyes anyways.

You put your heart and soul into an event, it shows!

Repeat business, and making a profit to keep you happy. Im talking an average wage here. time and time again. No need to be greddy when your putting on the best event of the year

How many organisers would put this on for just a small profit?

Everybody wants more money - it's the way the world works

and that my friend, is my point.

Nppl events cost that much to enter. That is the level of event you would like to see, no?
