Because untill we have a bottle explosion here and somebody dies or is maimed nothing will happen.

Is it really up to H-pac TO CHECK WHAT YOU ARE DOING,if something went bang they would be the compitent people on site and be partley responsible if they had examined your bottle/reg.

this will be a balls ache to do, but for safety sake it has to be worth it.

i would hope this is gonna be a uk standard tho, as i agree with the changing of fill nipps after every pa event is gonna be a hastle, a real hastle. esp if you have pa, then masters the week after.

also as to cost, this should be really low as in no profit, just cost, if it is gonna be a requirement, then u have us over a barrel, i for one wont appreciate extortianate nipple prices, if they were, then u would really fail here as most ballers work on a budget.

this is my personal opinion.

ok , say we have different fill nipples for 3k and 4.5k.

Now what if someone took the reg off there 4.5k bottle, put it up for sale, then some little kid or unexperienced player with no knowledge of bottles , bought this reg , which still has the new 4.5k nipple attached to it, then slaps it on his 3000psi bottle ?

well then we need to think of changing the threading for 3K and 4.5K bottles aswell!

So a 3K bottle matched a 3K reg etc

Edit: At the end of the day, if someone is stupid enough, they will hurt themselves or someone else nomatter how many safety features you have on a bottle.

You would have thought , for saftey issues, they would have done that a long time ago Chris, but to do that now would cost vast amounts to the industry, and what would happen to the bottles already in circulation ?

Would the best approach for saftey not be for tourneys to use only 4.5k bottles ?
3k bottles can be used at rec sites and walkons , as most of these venues and games normally fill upto 3k anyway.

on that note why not scrap 4500psi altogether and run everything at 3000psi,then nothing requires changing and its no cost to anyone and there is no danger of anyone over filling a bottle?

Brilliant, 3000psi, 30 seconds after game on and "oops no air".

We can't afford to go backwards on this, I agree that we should just say no 3000psi bottles at tournys. For the difference in cost I don't believe it will put off noobs, it will save them money when they would have had to upgrade to 4500 anyway.
