Not really, Hpac won't check every bottle at every fill.

If you change 3000 bottles and some numpty doesn't change his/hers then there is still the 'chance' that someone couls fill a 3000 bottle to 4500.
By changing 4500 there is no chance.

ok so if the same numpy gets a 4.5k nipple puts it on a 3k ? the is still no gaurentee of non numptyness

if these nipples are free to buy any where then it does not give a full and proper protection

surely filling a 3k bottle to 4.5k wont make it explode anyway?!?! just set off the burst discs?

(i dont really care as my bottle is 5k but just curious )

safety measures are there as leeway for danger, not for the sake of; ill fill till they blow...

tsay you get 300 people per tourney and 200 are using 4.5k tanks

i think 200 people changing there own fill nipple is a tad more dangerous than the odds of 1 person overfilling a tank

why cant they just use another stick :/ ie at the masters they put a sticker on your guage to show if its in test date or not, cant they just wrap white or black tape round the reg to show 3 / 4.5k and then have 1 black and 1 white hut to fill up in, and 1 person standing to make sure whites go with whites and blacks go with blacks (in a non racial way obv)

this is not a rule that has been made for the sake of it, it is from external sources so we just need to get it done.

The nipples only need to be changed once and as long as you get it done by someone who knows who they are doing, ie paintball companies tech or HPAC then you should be fine.

thinking about it, it's amazing that this was not in place before.

so will the new 4.5k nipples work on the 3k rigs? its a bit silly if people have to change nipples depending on whether there playing pa, a site compressor or dive tanks ;/

The problem is that wouldn't solve the issue with the insurance company. A 3000psi COULD still be fitted to the 4500psi rig to be filled.
