If they're guys from this forum, then could possibly guess at a couple of names........

To be honest some of the stuff i've read recently, nothing suprises me anymore.

Well, they used to be part of the forum before I banned them yeah, and I have to agree with your sentiment, not much surprises me any more.
But I'm afraid the problems I had with these guys wasn't played out on these boards, oh no, these guys did their sh!t behind my back in a MacDonalds in Paris ........I'm still simmering and stewing..........

Because then you bunker someone in the head with 30 bps it does'nt kill them!

There'd be far less chance of the is that a hit or isnt it problem as generally speaking people would be covered in paint.

Give the crowd what they wasnt to see! Fast agressive painball with people getting covered in paint.

well A) you should be wearing a mask to protect the areas where it would kill you - if you have a fragile head then you shouldnt play paintball

B) 30bps isnt tourny legal

C)people do get splattered with paint - else there would be no winners - nobody would be out!
 
Quite agree, but, if new rules were introduced for 2008 say, then many 2007 gats would be unusable without a rework, that was the point I was trying to make.

We are now in the 2007 equipment season and there are lots of peeps using ’05 gear still.:)
I have never had the cash to get a new marker and so am still using an 03 Speed... future proof whatever they decide :D

200fps, 300fps its still gona be disorientating getting a couple in the head, may aswell stick with 300 :p

pre ramping i found that 12bps was near enough what i would shoot at if i was moving my pinkies with a degree of determination.
Is it at all possible that the MS would try to reduce it down to a level that was on par with true semi rates of fire and subsiquently convert the circuit back to semi. This would bring back all the inherit problems that are assosiated with semi and electric paint chuckers.
Now you hole pickers out there i know that you can achieve 18bps using the 3 finger tecnique. i'm mearly hypothosizing here.
I am in favour of ramping. The problems that are apparent with this fire mode is the kick in bps. Originally set at three it was mad. Your gat was basically either one balling or 15bps. There was barely any interum.
The current level does seem to work fine so i would be in favour of leaving it be.
If they are concerned about movment how about different field layouts. With the incarnation of E-markers they had to implement a large centre piece(s) to avoid civil war ball off the break. Why not cut the lane widths down a tad. the NXL have used the 'finger' bunkers to great effect here.
Now whatever the outcome of there rule changes i know one thing, i'll be at that start gate ready to point my tube in your direction.

Bringing the rate of fire back down to near a true semi rate will make a difference in movement, and as a side benefit, field layout will again become more creative, as well as breakouts and gameplay variety in general.

And now, Baca should come swooping in to strike at my thoughts any second now...;)
