As soon as the crowd started yelling Alex looked, he didn't have time to switch hands. In that pic the Joy guy is diving and only level with Alex, Alex tracked him right the way around, so it wasn't like Alex got shot, then the joy guy dived past him, then Alex spun. As soon as Alex and the Joy guy saw each other (not an armband ;) ) they would have shot each other - no 1-4-1.

Well..

Here Fraige is clean:

Here he's not:

Can't tell from that angle if the Joy player is hit at that point, but it seems unlikely given the angles that Alex could have gotten him first.

Regardless, as far as any penalty for the last Joy player shooting Alex, that's bull****. If Alex got shot by the last Joy player, he deserved it, and no penalty should have been issued - his armband is pulled and he's standing around on the field, in-bounds. He's supposed to get his ass off the field. The Joy player coming round the snake to bunker Cole shouldn't have to figure out which Dynasty player is in and which is not and Fraige is the one creating more chaos by hanging around in the snake even though his band is pulled and since he's creating the chaos he shouldn't be having penalties called in his favor.

And that big orange splat on the side of Cole's mask, that's from Cole going into the snake.

Chi...

Looking at that pic it just confirms to me it was a mutual considering how fast things happened. But he definitley played on to shoot BC regardless.

I think the overshooting on Alex would be harsh I agree I was merely going on the reaction of that ref as Sebban comes round the snake. but I think the one on BC was probably more deserved, it did seem malicious on the vid and pics.

Did you see in the second game where the Joy guy at the centre pyramid shoots Yosh out of the corner near the box, then reloads while continuing to bonus ball him?

One thing we're all missing though is that the malicious penalty wasn't the 3-4-1, they said that was for playing on without an armband. Who did that? did Scandal in the snake shoot BC *AFTER* his band was pulled?

How? It isnt in the vid and it was on the wrong side, it was on BC's left which was facing back towards to Dynasty end. He got that when Sebban kept shooting here -

EDIT - My mistake, I was thinking about the big shot on the left side of his head...couldn't say where the goggle shot came from

As for Alex getting shot - he obviously did as he turned to face Sebban (regardless of whether that was the malicious call.)

WOW, I'm just glad i didnt have to make that call. You guys can sit here and say this and that but that was about as much chaos you can have in about 1 minute. In my opinion it should have went to a 1v1 to end it.

looks like a hometown call from where i'm standing, no disrespect to the refs but an overshooting penalty in those circumstances is unbelievable imo.
unlucky to Joy but they have proved that they are at the top both sides of the pond whether they took first or second.

I repeat, the overshooting call wasn't what lost them the game, that's only a suspension. The 3-4-1 was for playing after having armband removed...

I don't mind all the pointless debate about how the call shoulda/coulda/woulda gone, all based on still pictures, a blurry internet video and a somewhat specious understanding of the rules, but the bias part I have to call bull**** on. The referees on that field didn't care who won or lost. There was no favoritism and no "hometown call".

both Joy and Dynasty are talented, successfull teams. Both of them will do anything to win. To say that the only reason one of them lost is due to referee bias is, in this case, wrong.

If the call had gone Joy's way, everyone would be saying they got the call because of the WDP/PP connection. That would also be complete bull****

I have watched this many times over and I still dont see anybody shooting or playing on without an armband. You see the ref on his knees pulling both Scandal and BCs armband at the same time when they are standing up. At least it looks very much like it.
Then Sebban blasts BC who is not wearing an armband and gets the penalty?
If thats not what cost them the game, what happened?
