Can I just point out that I am not having a go at existing sup'air sites or their prices. I am having a go at the cost in general. I appreciate that you make next to nothing on paint (as most tourney players know the 'real' cost anyway).

I also appreciate the fact you make next-to-nothing (or even run at a loss) money wise - and for that I say a big 'thanks' :D.

I am sure you would love to run your sup'air days for even less (or even free) - but unless outside money is going to pay for it - then it's still a pipe dream (for me at least).

Catch-22 .

The truth?! You can't handle the truth!

The reality is whichever side of this poll you fall on or think you do the vast majority of you don't really have a clue one way or the other.

I'll put it in weight-training terms for you. The first time or ten somebody comes into the gym and wants to start working out and is all gung-ho and "committed" they invariably finish those first few workouts either thrilled or overwhelmed by the amount of effort they put in and the resulting progress they think they've made. I then have the pleasure of telling them the first 3 months of their training is designed so that by the end of that time they'll be capable of beginning actual, serious training. That is the place the vast majority of paintballers are at, regardless of rank and status.

Play for fun and that's fine but don't fool yourself into thinking you're on the other side of that divider when you're really not. There's too much yapping going on and it's not just here on the forums. First step is to stop talking and start doing.

At what point would you say serious paintball training actually begins ? How can the paintballer judge if he is on the "other side of the divider" ?.

Mark, I am one of the few who will happily admit to playing for fun rather than seriously (train - what's that?;) ) but I will always try to win when I do play competitively, so I would find it hard to vote either way!
I'll admit it too Liz,
I play purely for fun, i train for fun too, but if it's possible to pull off a win then that's just the icing on the cake.
The day that i stop enjoying paintball is the day i retire from the game:(
I'd rather lose but have a bloody good day than win and not enjoy the victory or getting there:rolleyes:
I wonder how many of the voter's that said they win, actually do?:p
