One more thing, on the first page when he wrote the email to the guy he scammed, he said and quote 'It turns out over all that my dad actually picked these up for me and took them to work with him unaware of their importance, I have only this morning been in contact with him where he has confirmed he picked them up.'-
Now if Robbo is saying that the police said his dad came in and wrote that he didn't receive the gear then why did he tell that his dad has it?

Or am I abit behind?

There are at least two seperate cases.
The original is the one that ended up having been 'signed in his name by his father' after be reclaimed there PayPal money.
I believe that eventually got sorted and he repaid (I may be right or may be wrong)
The other is the more apparently fraudulent case

Unless anyone is realy contributing to the thread, then it's probably best to leave out the other posts (I mean please don't make more of the other types of post as follows), eg anything in jest about going round to the house or having things sent can be considered abuse and are only real justification to objecting about his address etc

Popcorn related posts give the impression the matter is being treated as entertainment

These two types of post will be the ones that were presented to the police, and either could be treated under the various online related laws

I agree with what you're saying about how the posts may be viewed, but I'm not sure that handing over an edited version is the way to go. The people that were defrauded have not made these types of posts and are not in control of randoms on the Internet, so I cannot see how that could be brought into their cases.

On the other hand, it very well could lead to the police wanting the info taken down, but I would hope that they realise that no one here would be stupid enough to do anything with his info other than to make sure never to be scammed by him again as it has been stated multiple times that law enforcement will be given the thread to read and Robbo has passed along the info that the family will phone 999 if anyone turns up to re-collect the property. Also, I can't imagine that it would be worth the time and effort to get a court order against a forum for posting public information that most likely came from his facebook page.

Impling - I'm afraid I cannot take any credit for all this because it's been tackled by my moderators from the inception to now; I'm like a goal-hanger, it seems as though I come in at the end and take all the glory but that's not the case at all. and so, any thanks has to necessarily go to the mods ... and rightly so !

PS Guys, can someone please collate all the incriminating info especially the correspondence where that jamie prick involves his father by stating he signed for the goods .... I think at the very least that implies collusion of some sort, if indeed it's true.

i dont know where to go about this and dont want a public issue.
i sold an item on here and posted it on the 1st of may. on the 7th received a paypal dispute over the item with no correspondence. i contacted him through the forum and told him i had misplaced the tracking number and had tried to find the status of the package but couldnt and asked if he would wait until the 10th to see if it arrived and if it hadnt i would refund it. he then upped it to a claim and told paypal he hadnt heard from me and demanded a refund of which i gave as i couldnt prove delivery.
since then i have found the receipt and the tracking number shows he recieved and signed for it on the 3rd, i have a copy of the signature but paypal canot stop the refund or reclaim it, due to this i am minus £50 or a set of DYE I4's inc 3 lenses however you look at it.
i have emailed him and contact the police/solicitor but thought this should be known on the forum and see if you had any advice.

I think you forget that with the amount of people who use this forum you will run into someone eventually at an event somwhere. Sometime you'll need new kit or want to sell or trade your old kit, you'll see something here you want or need technical help, even organising a lift to a tournament or whatever.
