I have voted that the should stay the same, as there is no option on there to see an 'tightening of the rules'. From what I have seen it is generally the 'newest' members that have been causing the problems, people with very recent join dates with low post counts. Perhaps users should have to belonged to the site for longer than say 3 months, before they can post in the classifieds sections.

I know the amount of work that the mod team do, especially within the classifieds section, and I would hate to see it become a lawless place. If there is any more stringent rules that could be added to make the mod teams life easier then I am all for it.

The rules seem fair to me, although I am a little confused about why "New" items can not be sold?

Rule 6. The forum is going to support the UK paintball retailers, especially those who kindly pay for banner space on the forum which makes this community possible. So, there is a ban on selling/trading 'Brand new' items. 'Like new' is fine as is used or second hand but there will be no sales/trades of brand new in box or not in box as case may be.
This also goes for individuals who are grey importing/bulk buying new stuff from one country to sell in another and acting as small businesses.

I think that is fairly clear as to why but if it isn't then just ask and I will try and answer your questions on this matter. Thanks for replying to the poll.

Cheers Gassy, in that case it does seem fair.

Anyway like I said, rules seem fine to me and don't need to be stricter or more relaxed.

I'd just like to say that when I click the classified rules thread in the classifieds section, no posts are show, it just shows the title and nothing else other than the light blue/grey backgroun behind all the posts. I don't have too much of a problem with this as I know the rules, but this may be a problem to newer members if they have similar problems.

I think that the rules are fine, however one idea I think is good would be that all postage on markers and other expensive items is to be 1st class recorded and insured, unless stated otherwise and the buyer agree's to not have it insured.

the rules are fine and there for everyone's protection

regarding postage...surely it is is the buyers responsibility to make sure the goods arrive in the condition that was specified and therefore difficult to legislate which type of postage a buyer chooses to use ??

the earlier point about people being members for a certain period before being allowed to sell was also a good one

It really shouldn't take a thread like this to encourage forum users to follow the rules...

I've been both a buyer and seller on the forum without any hitches, however in all instances myself and the other parties have stuck to the rules without problems.

Is there not some way that users can be directed to the rules to agree to before their user account is allowed access to post in the classifieds, buying OR selling ?

We did try that for a period of time and people still ignored it and then got all stroppy with the mods when their post was deleted. It is amazing how abusive someone can get because they cannot read some very simple instructions.

The strictness of the rules was the only reason i felt i could buy and sell on here with safety. I say keep them as they are, as i think they make the idiots think twice about well.......being idiots!!
