I like it as it is, far enough i dont sell or buy much on here but its good to have set standards! The only one i dont get is the "must be hand written name and date" one, i completely understand the rule as a whole but it makes no odds to me as a buyer if the guy prints it out (makes sence as your prob at a comp) or handwrites it.

There simple and easy to follow but some people will always struggle with following them and there's nothing you can do different from what your doing now.

I would like clarification on the rules of bumping a wanted thread is it allowed? If I'm looking for something tonight and In a months time when my thread is now on page 10 am I'm still looking, can I re post on it to bring it back to the top instead of making a new thread?

That is looked at on a case by case basis, if you leave it a month as in your example nothing would happen if you "bumped it" but if you "bumped it" every couple of days then you may be contacted or have the post removed.

Common sense would be a good guide on this , if you think your taking the piss with bumps on the wtd board then you most likely are.

As leachy said earlier if it aint broke don't fix it!

I have found them easy to follow and help to keep everyone safe, sellers as well as buyers. Keep them how they are don't get rid.

It's not the rules that need to change? It's the service the mods give that needs to change. You shouldn't do anything other than view posts and ensure they stick to each forum rule.

I feel you (the mods) do far more than you should, and for what, further abuse because 90% of the general British public feel they are hard done by and deserve more. It's a culture that has been carried on due to certain peoples good nature. Unfortunately it's now expected, from a mod, to sort out any sour buy/sell trades that happen on this forum.

All you have to do is make sure people adhere to the rules. The rules that are self explanatory and are easy to follow.

Just to add to what Andy says above me here, this is a FREE resource, the Mods are not paid in any way shape or form. there are no industry "perks", no freebies, no free tickets and definitely no free kit :)

(any manufacturers wishing to end this travesty feel free to pm me ;) )

This is not a complaint, this is merely a statement of fact, and the fact is that we all do it because we want to.Gassy, Mrs G and Lump mainly take care of the classifieds and it's practically a full time job. I can see all the posts in a day which are deleted and at least 95% are for non compliance of the rules.

The rules should absolutely stay as they are for the deterrent to the wannabe scamsters.

Any selling system is always open to abuse unfortunately when it is internet based as the nasties prey on the majorities faith in human nature.

If it is becoming a larger issue then perhaps close them completely or tender the service to a 3 party who will monitor it and police it on p8nts behalf?

The site itself is one of the best to sell kit on and hence that is why there is so many people who do sell. Perhaps a time period of membership or a small fee to become a member who can sell would be other options?

The mods do a great job but you have to look at the system if it is getting worse and taking too much time to police for no real gain why keep it?
