I regret to say, but this is sad news for the "normal" players.
Well if the MM only ask the proplayers advise and not really care what we would like...

This is for the orga still more difficult to set up 2 different games and schedules. How do you see the other teams to move up in that format other than what they play?

Is it me being stupid...or ummm....me being stupid.

You said in the millenium's, it's only The pro's who will play this format, and the 'norms' will play as per.

In the mill's, div 'A' teams usually have 2 pro teams to play right.....so what'll happen now with that?

Either div 'A' doesn't play pro's anymore......or if they do...in which format will they play it in?

......just for the Champion's League (pros) Harry....
That's just INSANE!!!

What is the justification?

Any team to move up at the end of the season will be fcuked - and any PSP teams coming across for Div. 1 will have to play 7-man.

Not to mention the fact, that smaller leagues like the Centurio and NES, are now unable to run the MS format, because the vast majority of their teams are not geared for 7-man.

I guess the whole "one world one format" thing was just a bunch of bull.... because there is no way the PSP will introduce 7-man!

What bright people they are in the MS.... NOT

Calm down Nick, this arrangement is for this year and will be extended at start 2007.

PSP teams coming across to Div1 ????
I don't think that's an issue nor should be.
The Millennium did not choose all of the changes, we as capatins of the Pro teams had a fair amount to vote on but where the Millennium guys did make anything mandatory it was done because of finanical and logisitcal imperatives.

The way I see it, this year is a learning year for all.
If the MIllennium had gone wholesale into the new 5man format for all divs then it could have all gone ass up and everything could be lost.
The pros are the showcase, like it or not, they should play the showcase format and see how it goes, if it don't work out then fine, re-evaluation time.
The format was changed for the following reasons:-
To bring a standardised format a step nearer to world acceptance, which it has, to improve the base format for player and spectator, which it has and also, it had to be done responsibly over a sensible time frame.

Why you keep harping on about the 7 man format and PSP is beyond me Nick, the future is 5 man, XBall type format..end of !

This is a process Nick, recognise that and you can put that blue vein popping out yer neck back in.

Chill....

i think its a really good idea

all teams have 7 players still what ever league, you have the off season to train 5 man for it. x-ball is a lot better to watch then 7 man and more fun to play. i dont think its a problem. if you look at all the teams looking to go up this year they all would be good x-ball teams or (m7).

Just a few things i can remember from the meeting:

Coaching from the pits will be allowed

Sideline coaching will be allowed, but the crowd will be 9m back from the line of the tape bunkers.

15 minutes or best of 9/first to five whichever comes first.

Max 9 players to an event, 7 can be rostered for a particular match. The other two can pit but not play in that match. Match rosters can be changed between matches.

One coach will be allowed in the pits.

Spots can be sold at the end of the 2006 season, with a flat fee going to the Millennium.

Should a team not turn up to an event then they will be ejected from the league. Obviously this affects XSV, Nexus and Joy more than others as the HB dates clash.

And - what exactly is the justification for ONLY doing it in the CPL?

What of the "universal format" that the MS and PSP has told everyone was coming?

I realise all is fine and dandy for you Pro teams - which is probably why the decision ended up this way - but for division 1 teams and not least feeder leagues, this is completely stupid.

Don't you see that??

And - I'm not harping on about anything - I guess you didn't read my message properly? - I'm saying that the PSP will NOT run 7-man in their lower leagues - which is exactly why this makes the whole "global format" thing a joke.
