Even if all the players can't clearly hear the commentators most people in the audience don't know that and it looks bad.
That certainly sounded bad. I was in the audience in Joy Masters and I got the feeling that the local announcer was actually coaching the home team.

Personally, I liked when they told the player's names making the moves or getting the penalties. It's not easy to know who's who with masks on from 50 meters away :)

Nick, the good ship Millennium leaves some time in the new year,

Where it travels ?
Who knows ?
Who's on board ?
Who knows ?

I know this much, at some stage we might even hear one of the board mutter those immortal words,

'Full steam ahead and fcuk the iceberg'

:):):)

Forgive me if this seems disrespectful, but shouldn't teams that are interested and capable of playing Xball carry the burden of contacting the body that organizes it? If it is associated with the Millenium, contact the Millenium board. If it is seperate, it needs to announce it's existence in whatever way it sees fit.

Joining a league has always been the job of the team. The League, if there is one, should announce its existence and terms and then await responses.

Gilt invitations just drive up entry/ franchise fees. Maybe by invitation only is reasonable, but it isn't the only way or the traditional way.

Oh, and hip-hop announcing is stupid. About the only ones really qualified are B-real and Everlast. Even then, it's alienating. It doesn't reflect who we all are, either.

Get cheerleaders for each team to go out and celebrate when their team scores a point while the break is on. Music is preferred.

Timing is everything in announcing as in the game. Talk about specifics after the action has resolved, not just as the situation is building.

Talking about team and player bio information is a better time filler that "fo'shizzling," but it will require actual homework. Knowing the teams and players would be ideal.
