If you don't think I'm doing a good job or have any suggestions on how I might do a better job of the above, please bring on some RESPECTFUL critique. I listen and I adjust when I'm convinced I need to.Originally posted by Robbo
Am I missing something here or what ?
You are more concerned about commentary content than about getting the teams who are actually going to participate organised????
Ure kiddin me right?
Oh but Steve I do know of many recent phone calls and emails you have made, especially to Canada !!!!!!!!!!!Originally posted by Wadidiz
Once again, thanks for the career advice Robbo.
Just curious how you would know anything about how many e-mails or phone calls I've made? I can let you know that I've sent enough e-mails to learn that they seem basically ignored.
If you need any more respect thrown your way: I get far more feedback, good ideas, discussions and response here than anywhere else.
But you're confusing me: are you saying that to post things here and open up discussions about possible future policy here is unserious and makes for a poor presentation of Millennium or X Ball? Does anyone else out there think so? Wow!
And all important announcements, questions, rule amendments, scheduling, blasé, blasé, are sent out by e-mail.
My e-mail contact with Team Russia is with Alexandr Tarando. Don't know if Sergei reads them or not.

Now I haven't received any emails from you regarding any specific plans my team has for 2004 in the light of recent events Stateside, I just got off the fone from Pete Martin, he hasn't heard a thing from you either.
Ooohh nearly forgot, Sergei ain't heard either coz I just got off fone from him.
Hmmmmmmm, seems to me u ain't making the calls or emails u should be doing unless of course you are talking to teams I havne't mentoined and in that case, who have you called and emailed regarding asking them if they want in to X-ball next year ????
I have had a lot of face-to-faces with some of the teams. And like I said, I have to have more official information before I can do much more than get opinions on such a forum.Just how tha hell am I gonna organize something when I have no friggin' idea what the program is? It isn't even 100% sure if I get the job for EXL and what the terms thereof are.
No problemo, Duff. I'm chilled.Originally posted by duffistuta
Chill guys, Steve, of course you're welcome to post here - your input is respected.
Let's all take a deep breath - if someone wants to start a new thread entitled: What's going on next year in the EXL/who's playing/whatever, then cool - as it stands we should all stick to the original topic about info from the tower.
I apologise for my part in the threadjack Steve.
I'm with Colin. If the hope of the EXL is to bring the sport into the mainstream, and be accepted by the general public, they shouldn't have to consult the New Oxford Crips and Bloodz Dictionary to decipher such phrases as:Originally posted by Red_Merkin

Steve: In each of the legs I played this year I couldn't hear the commentators when I was on the field. I guess this was because of the speaker location and was probably more by accident than by design, however it's the solution to your problem. Organize the speaker, spectator and field layout in such a way so the players can't hear the commentators.
When we were marshalling Joy I could occasionally hear the commentators even though the speakers were facing the spectators I’m not sure if this was down to that high bank or was it that the speakers were higher quality and more audible?
Anyway if the players can't hear what’s being said then you wont have a problem!
