Who do you think talks to people like the police and the Home Office year after year, helping to stop this sport being banned? Who do you think talks to the Sports Council year after year, trying to get the sport recognised?

Steve from the UKPSF is who.

nothing in it for tournie players ,think again we all remeber the incident in Madrid with the bottle.right think about it guys ,if this incident happened too you and your equipment injured someone who do you think they will sue . you of coarse, then the health and safety will get involved and the site or event organiser will have to shut down so who will he sue for lose of earnings you.so being a member gives you public liability insurance at sanctioned events ie the pa tournies ,so it doesn,t help tournie players think again.just another point who do you think gets involved with the goverment or the police on our behalf when some young chav decides to use a marker in public and gets paintball a bad name the UKPSF. so think about it,its for all of us . just goto www.ukpsf.com and see for your self
that's the reason i joined it, at the end of the day, £12.50's nothing for the insurance you get

Firstly the Home office has decreed that firearms laws in Northern Ireland are different to the mainland UK, so there is absolutely no benefit there for me is there?
lots of people are trying to get paintball recongnised as a sport in their own way, and forgive me for being cynical, but i don't see it happening anytime soon.

as for personal insurance, I have my own anyway which is far more comprehensive than the UKPSF, as i have to have cover for teaching MA as well.

dusty yes your situation is slightly different but for most players it would be a good thing to join and have the piece of mind that they are insured.if some players want to get thier own insurance good on them, but also wouldn,t we be best speaking to the sports council with one voice and a recognised governing body.the UKPSF would have the advantage in this area has they have been talking to the appropriate bodies for a long time and therefore recognised by them:D

can someone clarify, why paintball is not a recognised sport, because i seem to remember it mainky being the UKPSF wasn't a suitable independant governing body or something??

i think i may join if the sports council thing looks promising
